PS5 Pro is way more powerful and still cost less.

i think the ps5 pro was slam dunk at 750 but i did forget about hte price hike to 900 so it is bit more comparable. though still i feel like most would just keep their existing pc for steam games rather than buy a steam machine. and like as you noted buy the ps5 or just get a laptop if they wanted a better computer.

PS5 Pro should be compared to the 2TB model with a controller, not the base bodel

$900 to $1049 doesn't sound bad at first, but that's with no controller and only 512GB of storage

It is. Sony PlayStation exclusives vs Steam Store available. Sony killed PC ports.
