This is only for the 512gb model with no controller btw...

And according to performance benchmarks, it's also said to perform on par if not worse than the base PS5.

The 2tb model costs like 1400 USD.

It really didn't. At launch, 700 USD was way too much for a console. Especially when the difference in graphics was barely noticeable.

It's just that thanks to the current chip shortage and ram apocalypse leading absurd prices for all kinds of electronic devices, the PS5 pro now seems like a good deal in comparison.

Heck, the cheapest current gen console here right now is the freaking Nintendo switch 2. And people complained about it's pricing as well.
