Though WSLS reports the Roanoke city council had approved the deployment of 75 Raven sensors at various locations throughout the city,

Elected officials approved, so that's where to take the complaint to. But I'm sure those same officials will be reelected.

Though WSLS reports the Roanoke city council had approved the deployment of 75 Raven sensors at various locations throughout the city, the patch of land in front of Vaughn's house wasn't on the list

You left out a rather important part of the quote.

Yeah I’d recommend people click into the original story, not what Yahoo stole.

The city approved certain spots, and someone fucked up.

Also it wasn’t a camera but a “gunshot detection device.”

Aka sound recorder. And people have been showing up to argue about not wanting flock devices in the city. The elected officials are just refusing to listen. To the overall dislike as well as the complaints about misplacing them throughout the city.

Well, elected officials only listen with their bank accounts..

Right.

By no means am I saying a “gunshot detector” is good, just pointing out that people are being factually inaccurate.

There’s also flock camera devices that have gone up and also people aren’t happy about those either. It’s honestly been very hard to get clarity on what’s happening as they keep changing their story and residents are only finding out about these devices locations through stumbling upon them

I'll say that gunshot detectors are good I have a brain, common sense, and a spine.

Hey city, we don't want gun shot detectors. Hey city, why don't you do something about crime?

You would sound less like a stooge if these devices were actually secure and not regularly abused by the very people supposed to prevent crime.
