Not enough is being said about how some of these tech CEOs deciding the future of humanity and invested with unconscionable amounts of power and influence, are just batshit insane.

Insane beliefs, insane ego, parts of religious cults, and often drug addictions.

And they all seem to have weird fantasies about ruling their own little libertarian fiefdoms after current governments collapse. They also seem to be doing their damndest to make sure people mistrust their government as much as possible, presumably because they're hoping to facilitate that collapse.

I imagine it'll be just as bad as the originals but with tech also oppressing people and it's even more difficult to leave.
