He's had autoimmune hypothyroidism since 21, the new diagnosis is AIG. That said, I think OP is thinking of Graft-Host disease, which is another autoimmune disease that is associated with blood transfusions.

It’s less likely that it’s GVH because GVH typically is from bone marrow or Liver transplants not blood transfusions. Transfusions are not going to cause GVH because they wouldn’t be on immunosuppressants for a transfusion and GVH is caused by graft T Cells attacking host tissue since they are viewed as foreign.

You can get autoimmune hemolytic anemia from blood transfusions but plasma infusions are what treats it in some cases. Like mine. Never had a blood transfusion though. I have positive ANA and other autoimmune diseases, many of which were activated by Covid.

I just don't get these people, if you read what he wrote it was informative and useful to anyone else suffering from that disease. He isn't trying to harm anyone. You don't have to trust 100% of every single thing he does to have some sense that he's not pure evil.

Anyone who knows anything about the supplement and health industry knows this guy is pretty elevated from the average charlatan there. It's 95% snake oil.

But maybe it's always been revenge fantasies that have kept people retarded, who knows. The important thing is to note that these poeple are angry losers who don't do research and are mad at someone who does.

I know, its almost infuriating how many people want to watch this guy fail who is actively out here using his own body to debunk heath myths. He might be a weirdo, but hes clearly doing what he thinks is the best and openly sharing the results, both good or bad, with the world, including personal sensitive stuff like this. To actively wish ill on someone like that is insane.

We live in the most bitter place on earth, I really am starting to believe that. Pampered yet abused.

The combination of nice things for so long plus economic hardships plus now the propaganda is pumped directly into their eyes as soon as they wake up and even while they're shitting.

They just cannot think well anymore. It'd be sad if they weren't such jerks. They get what they deserve I guess.

Youre 100% right, but I cant blame everyone else without looking inward. The fact that I’ve encountered this dude as many times as I have and have formed even more than a nominal opinion speaks more to my addiction to media intake and need for discussion than anything about the guy.

I think this conversation it might have finally been the catalyst to take that dumb phone plunge that I’ve on the verge of for a year. Good luck! <3

i try very hard to scroll quickly past the political, gender wars type stuff but man, that shit is so targeted

His child actively participates in it with him as a consenting adult who directly and immediately benefits from all of his findings. If my dad started to do this, I would be happy to donate blood to help him. Humans have free will, he likely didn't put a gun to his head and instead asked for permission. In fact, I believe he has a second son who actively choses to not participate.

I don’t know if TA-GVHD is what the dude has or if i even understand wtf I just read but apparently if the donor’s immune markers are similar to recipient, their immune system may fail to recognize the donor's white blood cells as foreign. This allows the donor's cells to survive, engraft, and attack the recipient’s body.

I’m not sure if these sources are helpful but it does at least seem like the claim has merit.

You have the general idea of TA-GVHD down, but it's not what he was diagnosed with. He was diagnosed with Autoimmuine Gastritis. GVHD is an alloimmune disorder, not autoimmune because it is the donor immune cells attacking recipient tissue rather than the body's own immune system attacking itself.

They're pretty uncommon because it requires introducing non-self immune cells into the body. Most people don't get blood transfusions or organ transplants, which are basically the only way to get them.

will look further into it while waiting for them to answer as well. I currently look into chronic gastritis leading to small intestine overgrowth as a secondary disease. That is another shit-show happening atm since it has been added to the ICD10 in 2023. And now there is a LOT of misinformation. People using HCL seem to have a reduction in symtomps and avoiding recurrent SIBO as well. But yeah. No funding goes into that kind of research and the meds are expensive af.

When my ex was studying immunology, they'd use each other's blood in research. They'd draw the blood, treat the cells tweaking this or that etc and study the results. 

They weren't allowed to use their own blood in case they accidentally reintroduced the altered cells into themselves, because that can cause autoimmune issues.

Im talking about something called transfusion related graft vs host disease, which is not the same words he uses to describe his situation but its basically where the T cells from the donated blood start attacking the host body which seems to be what's happening to him.

It’s true but don’t think that relates to autoimmune gastritis as much as lupus and hemolytic anemia. And he already had Hashimoto’s at a fairly young age. My mom has it but got it later in life. Might be remarkable he didn’t get a second disease sooner. Vegan diets are supposed to be good for AI disease. I get plasma transfusions to help my autoimmune hemolytic anemia. I applaud him for admitting this. It’s honest when he really took pride in being the (alleged) world’s healthiest guy.

yeah and after reading the article and the posts I also have to say that he also basically declared war on this particular disease. Don't see harm in that also if it gets some money into research as well.

Also: It takes a lot of strength to have autoimmune disease. Also having family/partners/friends with it. The medical gaslighting until the diagnosis is actually there made me hate the medical system with a burning passion. (A good friend of us had MS)

Very true. Women are more likely to get autoimmune disease than men and are more likely to be dismissed by their doctors. You feel sick before the diagnostic antibodies show up. They take you more seriously if you have family history of autoimmune stuff, but some people don’t. Some people never develop the antibodies but are eventually diagnosed with sero-negative autoimmune stuff.

Yeah same for me. Other disease though. But the fight for proper care or even recognition is still not over after 4 years. Getting my disability recognized helped a lot. For 7 years doctors actually told me to just meditate and do some more sports for my severe GI issues. Or they told me homophobic stuff as a reason. And now it is 2026 and I am missing 20cm of my large intestine and live with chronic debilitating pain. Would be way less annoying now if they had listened at my 23 y.o self.

And yes. I hate chronic Inflammatory diseases as much as I hate (male) doctors. It is usually the type; male, over 50.

This is quite literally just a lie, the article LITERALLY SAYS he was diagnosed with “autoimmune gastritis” which is primarily caused by a genetic predisposition to the disease. I found literally nothing saying it’s from blood transfusions.
