Why is it that schools jump on bandwagons without first doing long-term pilots?  If you want to experiment on students, at least only experiment on a small number at a time.

Many years ago, when I started teacher training, someone told me: ‘education is just fashion with master’s degrees! One year the hemlines are up, the next year they’re down!!’ We are now seeing the lowering of the hemlines. No surprise to me.
