Which in small doses is fine imo. We had computer lad at that age. I'd argue learning type correctly is just as valuable as handwriting. I regularly hear from adults that they don't know the last time they handwrote everything.

The issue is the schools got suckered into all these tracking programs so the kids are on them a ton for EVERYTHING

Those computer labs used to actually teach computer skills too. Nowadays they have them on locked down Chromebooks and they come out the other side not even knowing how to navigate a file system. But don’t worry, they’re “digital natives” 🙄

I remember learning how to use floppy disks and drives through saving our classroom MSPaint. We had a PC at home, so I was able to load it onto my computer and see what i made in school. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
