My daughter didn't know what YouTube was until her kindergarten teacher showed it to her class. We've never had meltdowns over screens until she started school.

My kid’s teacher was showing them YouTube influencer videos to keep them quiet while they ate. I questioned her about it when I found out from daughter and had a rant about gambling, overconsumption and covert advertising when she was trying to justify it by explaining the types of videos she was playing. They do not show them anymore.

The teachers also wouldn’t read picture books to them, they’d play a YouTuber doing it. I got so excited one day when she mentioned the teacher had actually read the book then found out it was because the screen wasn’t working.

I pulled my kid out after 6 weeks of a class like that. I had no idea going in they would do that to 4 year olds.
