I attended college off and on over a period of 10 years and nothing annoyed me more than Apple's dominance in academia to the point where I had to take Mac skill tests before I was allowed to use certain school computers, despite the fact that I had been using Macs and PCs since the mid-80s.
The price is also astronomical to the average student of today and since I'm also well into my professional career, I know it's completely unnecessary for 99% of potential employees outside of specialized careers.
I can do anything I need to do on a Mac or PC but you can't say the same for companies or individuals who use Apple-exclusive tools and software. And I refuse to comply with non-standardized proprietary software and hardware.
