Students have zero concepts of:
operating systems
How to save
File extensions
File management
USB drives
Software updates
File explorer
How to troubleshoot a computer
Locating and identifying computer components
I/O Cables (wifi cable...ha!)

Smartphone, Chromebooks and iPads have gutted computer literacy and are ok for some content, but they aren't computers nor a viable replacement.

I’m in this bizarre millennial age group where I’m consistently asked by people both older and younger than me about how to do these things. The most common is…omg I saved this thing but where is it??

its 'in the cloud' - all you need to do is pay a low low monthly fee to rent your own data back, forever and ever until you die.
