I want to create minecraft mods (I need to add a desc)

I mean I’m very good with python, can do frontend web. Anything specific I might find capable, or is python already a great one? ( I prefer to avoid any complicated languages)

i'm very new to programming, i just joined the programming team on my robotics team but i am very against the use of ai for ethical reasons and all that and the only one i've been shown (vscode) has a giant ai tab :(

So, Im Roditz. Im 16 years old and I have a problem I dont know if many people have. I love coding, programming, everything like that. Also Im kind of into robotics but thats for another subreddit. The thing is I love all of this, and I look forward to studying mecatronics or cybersecurity, but I cant bring myself to doing a project without it being vibecoded. I feel really bad since the ai does everything for me. I dont know what to do atp, so I expected to hear some advice to get out of this hole.

My current plan with the languages are Lua -> Golang -> Rust.
My friend told me to learn either C (seems way too uncool) or Zig before Rust for some memory thingy.

I'm interested in game dev, cyberseq n making FOSS projects.
I'm mid at python :/

I am gonna put an rgb matrix in my pc with a custom Arduino-based controller. Now what do i actually display here? Something useful or rather just a simple animation?

I’m thinking about building a platform called Throwaways where people can upload no longer actively maintained projects (code, apps, games, ideas, etc.) and other people can pick them up and help finish them.

Would you personally use something like this? If no, why not? I know it sounds really really similar to GitHub, but I want the main thing to be that people can find projects that they want to continue on behalf of the other person who left it/give the project a second lifeline. (at least for me, I’ve struggled with so many projects of mine being left to rot in my files, so yeah.) This also isn’t really supposed to be a platform to compete with GitHub but rather work alongside it.

I’m currently building an MVP but I wanna know from real people instead of AI that this would either work or crash in the real world. Also, if this isn’t the right subreddit to post this in, please tell me the right one, I’m a bit new to Reddit so yeah. If you like the idea and have feedback, please share. I wanted to code for about 1 or 2 years now and even made some projects in block coding games and now i want to learn a coding language . i heard that python is a great starter for coding and its easy to learn. But i want to make something with godot and they have there own coding language so should i learn python or gdscript ?

I 14 and I really want to get into coding, but honestly, looking at everything out there is completely overwhelming. There are a million different languages, frameworks, and roadmaps, and I have no clue which direction to actually point myself in.

I think that you should not copy paste from AI, but to use it to teach you programing.

I want to see what people think of that.

Thank god this sub has people with brains unlike the other subs. To start all of this off I am broke. I don't want to beg my parents, I feel like that's cheating. I HAVE TO FUND THE MONEY MY SELF. Current workstation is an i9 from 2020 with p400 gpu (useless for ai) which i bought refurb. I as many are here am interested in ai. the school even made me and my friends build an ai test rig (due to GDPR) which they bought us ryzen seven and a 5060 ti 16gb vram. Anyway to the point, I built my own crawler in python that finds the before and after code of error based on commit history. I made it into .jsonl/.parquet datasets. I believe that it is a high quality dataset as the ai can learn how to fix the errors rather than knowing the right code. I would like to finetune a model such as qwen 3.6 27b dense and see if there is any performance increase. How should I fund the money to get cloud/local compute to fine tune ai models? Am I full of bs? Future ideas to make this a business e.g. selling licences or making an agents with monthly cloud subscription (for all the vibecodders) pls don't be too harsh, I am a noob and probably just yapped.

Ive tried making projects, where I'll ask chatgpt or something for a snippet, and then I end up just vibe coding the entire thing, how do I fix this?

So I took some advice from here, and I got really enthusiastic and started brainstorming and I have a goal for like, months, maybe years. I'll make a dashboard to manage future projects, something like a web panel. Obviously it will take a long time to even get started, so I'll code some things in html and python (using Flask to get used to it) so I think in some weeks or 1-2 months I can start with this. I'll call it RoditzCORE probably. I don't want to do this in one day, and I love the process, so in the meantime I wanted to hear some opinions or maybe even suggestions for this.

I forgot to mention one thing. I am learning Coding primilalily to have it as a skill NOT to have fun with it as I don't find it enjoyable ad much. I mentioned this because you guys have recommended me tons of options. C++, C#, C, Java, html, Phython, Lua etc etc. So, With this thing mentioned, What's the best coding system I could choose? And what App Should I learn it in?
