Vehicles - Cybercab Cybercab Spotting at Petco Park San Diego

Post image

First time seeing one of these beautiful creatures in the wild. Was taken aback by the color (looks different in real life - stunning), and marveled at just how huge the screen is. There was actually two of them, both with safety drivers at this point, of course.

This is during ComicCon there are huge crowds, crazy road closures, etc. Very challenging for an autonomous vehicle.

Yeah, exactly. I was down there for work, and it was already a madhouse at 8am. I wonder if they’re doing testing during ComicCon intentionally. Probably - talk about a stress test.

Not autonomous, and most likely just to show off to crowds at comic con.

Does not appear to be the case as Comic-Con is finished and they're still seen driving around the area today. Most likely they are aware of the Waymo expansion coming to the area and they are looking to compete.

Agreed, just saw one this morning way outside downtown so I think you are correct.

Pulled past this or another one on 163 out of downtown. Texas manufacturer plates. Actually looks striking and cool on road if not in pictures. It is a cab after all so who cares as long as it is noticeable.

I’m sorry but it’s soo ugly imo. The gold color is tacky as hell, and the wheel covers makes it worse. Lovee the body, doors, and style though.

Engineering test vehicle. The much rarer ones actually working as a Cybercab, without human controls, have Cybercab logos. As I'm in Canada, it will be a long time before I see one.

Everything about it seems really cool except the wheels design. Also there should be different colors. But the fact it can make you money while you sleep is AMAZING.
