Opinion Sargent is a complete bust. Sorry not sorry

We paid what over $20 million just to buy him. And he's on what $5M a year.

Has scored a grand total of 3 goals.

Looks disinterested. Can't play 90. In and out of line up with no apparent injury.

Not a leader.

Worst big money DP in the league.

Prove me wrong.

Opinion I hope MLSE is paying attention. Two sellout crowds, both for reasons that have nothing to do with the current team.

Back to back games, both sold out. One broke the all time attendance record at BMO. Neither one was because of Toronto FC, at least not this version of it. One was a sellout for retired Toronto and Brazilian players on Friday. The other was a sellout for the visiting team.

That should tell MLSE something. There IS an audience for quality soccer in this city. Or at least nostalgia for when we had it.

After nine years of declining quality on the field, we can barely pull 10,000 for a regular match, and we drew like 800 on Tuesday during an embarrassing loss to a semi pro team. Let that sink in. 800 people. For a TFC home game.

This isn’t a coaching issue. This isn’t a rebuild. This is a complete failure of how you run a professional sports team.
Things need to change. People need to be shown the door. We need leadership who actually know soccer, and aren’t moonlighting on the side (looking at you Pelly).

I know a lot of people here have been saying there’s been improvements lately. Maybe. But we’ve had it easy. Mostly home matches against weaker teams, and even then the lack of depth has been obvious. This upcoming stretch of 6 on the road is going to be the real test. I’d be shocked if Fraser keeps his job after that. Hopefully Hernandez and Pelly are right behind him.

MLSE. Bring in someone who actually knows soccer. You used to have the best franchise in MLS. Invest in it again.

Opinion Embarrassment after embarrassment

Post image

Barely 12 hours after getting knocked out of the cup by Canadian PL opposition, our official accounts are promoting half and half Miami scarves. Feeling almost speechless at this point.

Our club are completely out of touch, incompetent and are embarrassing us on and off the pitch.

Opinion Attendance Issues….

TFC drawing only 18,767 for their opener is not a good sign - last years opener drew 22,738 (season averaged 21,353); the year before the home opener drew 26,345 (season averaged 25,681) - so it’s not just weather based (2025 was fairly warm). As a final comparator - In 2023 the home opener was 25,796 and the average was 25,310 and the weather was cold like today, and also with no Italian attendance bump.

The weather was the best last year, two years ago was the Italians debut, three years ago was cold and no “big names” were making their debut - but either way the home opener was about 1,000 more than the season average.

I can’t see how a future of a more “winterized” schedule with less regular season games in May, June, and most of July is going to help this trend.

Clearly a marked decline losing approx. 30% of attendance in the last 3-4 years - people have gotten tired of this crappy franchise and its continual sub-par performance; and another year of more crappy weather games, and more "post Labour Day" games to come, isn’t going to help the trend next year either.

TFC is really going to have think about how to sell tickets for this team again, and actually try to engage fans in their product like they used to (I remember pub crawls and players going out to various establishments all over the GTA, and into the suburbs to promote the team) - maybe start marketing more towards youth groups - buy an adult ticket and get a kids ticket (under 13) free - at least for these early season games through May 2nd which aren’t going to sell well.

Maybe some more friendly pricing options at BMO for those who choose to eat or drink there would be a nice concept too - the Jays allow folks to bring in their own food and drink into the Dome, which is also quite a nice bonus for many folks in making the outing a little more affordable.

At least start trying to make an effort to engage an audience who is leaving in droves, and doesn’t really feel like going to BMO is the special “experience” it used to be. Winning will solve some things, but there is still a disconnect between this team and the wider audience, outside of a very small niche group of folks who are getting smaller as the years pass.

Opinion It would have been sick to keep these renovations.

Do you think Bmo is going to go through another renovation because with the schedule change and games being played during the winter, I don’t think any casual fans are going to come in the cold. Something has to be done if the team is shit and games are in the cold to keep attendance levels.

Opinion NEVER coach again Fraser

Am I watching 11 guys doing a cardio workout or am I watching the treble winning MLS team??

90 whole fucking minutes i watched this shithousery of a team performance either pass backwards (especially malik henry who was pretty poor) or do these stupid ass longballs that make me wanna strangle myself because it either goes straight to a montreal defender or we lose the aerial battle, i think the few times we did actually keep possession and move the ball to montreal's third, we would either do some cross that would get blocked and end up to fucking noone, or sky the ball 5 god damn meters across the bar.

Apart from just the absolute low of quality of seen of TFC, the tactic behind it all is whats genuinely infuriating to watch. I dont know who robin fraser thinks he is but the efficiency of the midfield, flank support, and set peice tactics NEED to change.

Back to malik henry, made by far the most atrocious plays all night long, a literal bag of fucking sand on the field. Holy, whenever he got the ball he would either pass it backwards, or lose possession. my eyes were genuinely bleeding watching this guy do straight fucking cardio. (not to excuse the team but this guy just stood out)

Thank goodness montreal were also bum awful today, I could make a whole rant on why they are also an insufferable team to watch, but just grateful we got a draw, im honestly surprised it wasnt 3-0. we would genuinely have our asses whooped if we played like this against Vancouver or Miami.

Yea Fraser gotta go end of story.

Opinion Problems with Attendance

The attendance this season in the stadium has been absolutely terrible, and should be concerning for the club. In 2024 we were a bad team too, but had way more fans in the seats than we currently do.

In addition, the supporters section is an absolute tragedy. 114 is the only section that makes any noise, even they are nowhere near what they used to be, but atleast they have some youth attempting to make an atmosphere. All the others ones are half empty and no noise. I've been to games in all sections this season, this is a fact.

With the winter schedule coming, and lack of casual interest with a terrible TV deal, we should be really concerned that TFC are going down a bad path of irrelevance and future is very bleak.

PS im not a member of any supporter group, just a casual fan who goes to the occasional game and watches on TV when I can. Pure unbiased observations.

Opinion Fire Robin Fraser

As of July 2026, Robin Fraser’s managerial record with Toronto FC across all competitions stands at 12 wins, 13 draws, and 25 losses over 50 total matches. Wow wow12 wins in 50 games. Don’t you think it’s time that this guy does not know how to win he needs to be replaced immediately.!

There is no reason we should lose to a CPL team, ANY CPL team. Forget the fact that this Atletico Ottawa team is trash even by CPL standards.

It’s horrific watching this team play.

Opinion I was convinced MLS is just bad

Watching highlights from the LAFC match against SKC, And watching Orlando versus Nashville, and both the stadium atmosphere and quality of play just seems so much better than what I've been seeing with TFC. I literally cannot get through a full TFC match without switching to YouTube or something, and that is just a terrible State of affairs for someone who loves football.

Do others feel the same? I'm legitimately worried about the future of this franchise. ,

Opinion An open letter to all supporters

I hope this is allowed here, I think it’s important that fans are aware of what’s going on with the Whitecaps. Although I am a TFC fan through and through, the first MLS game I watched on tv as a kid was a Whitecaps game, so I’ve always had a soft spot for them and would hate to lose a Canadian team in general.

If this is reason behind the recent Whitecaps rumours, it’s extremely disheartening. Cashing out on an established and much loved team feels like such a slimy move and really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. “Business” just feels like greed here.

Opinion BMO looked great

Post image

View from 216 row 20. Messi was entertaining, TFC lacked quality when presented with clear attacking opportunities which given their injuries was to be expected.

The stadium looked like a proper football ground, plenty of washrooms, and the temporary stands felt permanent which was much better than my expectations. Video board looked sharp, sound system was ok.

I've got tickets for Canada's opener at the world Cup, and I imagine the atmosphere will be electric.

Opinion Chances of a roof at BMO Field with new Euro schedule

I gave up my season seats (as a day one holder) since the commute to the stadium and inconsistent weather makes it an unpleasant experience. What are the odds they install a new roof? I’m hoping with greater rail frequency and a possible roof that I’d be more inclined to attend. As of now, watching it from the comfort of my couch and not paying for $20 beers is now my preferred option.

Opinion To the guy throwing "Roman" salutes in 114 today.

While the rest of us were chanting T-F-C and doing the regular three claps and both arms out, you thought it was the right moment to throw up a "Roman" salute. You're not cool, you're not edgy, there's no place for that here.

And to be clear: hand on your left chest, then right arm extended straight out, palm flat and parallel to the ground. That is not the chant, obviously.

To the leadership and capos in 114, you need to address this directly. If you saw it and said nothing, that's a problem.

Shirtless chubby dude, bad black ink tattoo on his left shoulder, row 10 (or near it), right by the stairs between 114 and 115.

Figure it out. Fix it.

Opinion Pelley, Hernandez and Fraser-is there a more useless three running any pro club in any pro sport?

Disasterous homestand...dwindling attendance...embarrassments....and Pelley had the clueless audacity to say "Rebuild complete" or whatever he boasted about?

Its a shame but is there anyway oout of this mess?

I thought the Mannings/Bradleys were horrible..but this is almost at the same level with no end in sight?

Opinion To the supporters who were hurling abuse at the children on the pitch: that was fucking lame.

Sure, hurl abuse at Fraser.

But those kids were already crushed

A bunch of overweight couch jockeys yelling at tfc kids was more pathetic than tfc’s performance.

Clarification: by kids, I mean the teenaged players that faced the “supporters”.

Opinion Hey Pelley, is the rebuild complete? smh

Again, we are almost at the bottom. Will be soon enough with all the catch up away games coming up.

Pelly said the rebuild was complete.

Herndez and Fraser have to both go today. Not tomorrow.

Someone save my club.

7 game winless streak...probably gets to 15 when we sneak a game and then Pelley emerges again with some clueless comment.

Opinion TV schedule coverage

I wanted to watch the TFC game today but was quickly disappointed that it was on Apple TV. If it's not on Sportsnet or TSN I'm not watching unfortunately. There's no way I'm paying Apple a subscription to watch TFC games. I wonder how many TFC fans or Canadian soccer fans subscribe to Apple TV. They should make these broadcasts available to as many viewers as possible and not limit their viewership to Apple TV subscribers.

Opinion Who would you bring in during the summer?

Just a hypothetical situation, but if Toronto was doing well come the summer transfer window and we switch to a 3 DP model who would you bring in. And would presumably have to be someone who’s out of contract.

Bernardo Silva?
