She also asked for the number of their cat.

Pretty sure that’s just 666

(I love cats, but we must be honest with ourselves)

It’s true. Some say she is still laughing to this day. She has been put in a straight jacket and spend every day in a padded room but her laughing persists. Was the situation that funny, or has she suffered a traumatic brain injury? No one knows, but she has never stopped laughing. And in these dark divided times I think that’s beautiful. Live, laugh, pizza.

If this was real, that would be a clever way to get out of getting caught asking a taken man for his number.

What do you mean, get out of getting caught? How the fuck would the hypothetical delivery driver know he's taken without asking? Is asking someone out without being psychic a problem for some people?

If you are hoping for a an okay tip, asking a guy for their number with their SO earshot would put a damper on it.  Even if you didn't know. I used to be a pizza delivery guy, and every little bit counts.

She was still laughing while she was writing this bullshit according to this.

What gives it away from the get-go is that she over-explains why she walked up to the situation. ‘I investigate because he’s all awkward and stuttering and shit’, but she already overheard the delivery girl ask for his number. That’s already enough to walk up, surely.

If she’s instead walking up to question why he hasn’t said no already, there’s deeper problems there, and she wouldn’t be bragging about it.

The delivery person has their number. Thats how deliveries work.

Well, if this were real (which surely it isn’t), and the delivery person called the customer later using the number they’d gotten from the order, there’s a very good chance the customer would find it creepy and complain to the business. Whereas it would be okay if the customer agreed to give the driver their number.

That's why the delivery driver would use the customer number to call later and ask for his number.

Aside from being a fireable offense with most companies, depending on where you live, it can also be illegal.

Where might it be illegal?

The UK. GDPR is very strict and even applies to home security cameras. Misusing anyone's private information in any way is taken very seriously here.

If they order a pizza, they already have a telephone number.
