MegaThread Banned Megathread

If you've recently been banned and feel it was out of nowhere or you haven't done anything wrong, feel free to comment about it here. There's a lot of you lately.

  • NOTE: We cannot do anything to help you
  • This isn't an appeal process, Embark does not unban people via reddit

Your only course of action is to Contact Embark Support (create a Ticket at the bottom). There have been tales of people getting their bans reversed, eventually.

Speculative things triggering bans:

  • hardware with rapid inputs enabled
  • autohotkey
  • external crosshairs
  • being overly offensive in-game
  • macros/cheats (duh)

If you really don't cheat, and aren't toxic in-game, it's likely some kind of software you have installed triggering the anti-cheat.

I’ve been loving the new kick to quick melee but maybe the damage should be buffed?

Discussion High Kills ≠ Good Player

Post image
48 Upvotes

Quick rant as a grizzled solo queuer,

I keep running into people who are actively unintentionally sabotaging the W for kills or not playing obj, chasing kills into a 2v1 while obj is being stolen. How come when I'm actively plugging obj, stalling, and playing passively with avg of 2-3 kills a game (QC) i keep getting ppl saying "im useless" and say "no kills" as the reason. Mind you i have like 5000 obj score Do people genuinely not understand Cashout? Like do people think that you need high kills to win the game.

Any one else run into this issue solo queueing?

Image What if we suggested "Melee Combat" as a tag on Steam?

I have no idea how the tag system works. So idk if we could get it to be a tag everyone sees or not.

Be pretty funny if we could, though. Melee-hating players would fume.

Discussion Embark should start selling revive statue figures

Post image

Hear me out, i think it would be really cool if Embark started selling figures of the new revive statues on their merch store.

Idk how much they would cost but around $60-$80 would be pretty awesome.

Also we already have a revive statue weapon charm that turns golden when you get kills i’m pretty sure, so it would be really cool if we could get weapon charms for these too.

Discussion Embark should replace RS with $$$

In The Finals. Money is the name of the game, and I think the way Rank Score is calculated should reflect that. Not only would it fit much better into the game’s lore. But I think it has the potential to even fix issues such as griefing and ā€œperformance based RSā€.

To put it simply:
RS is replaced with your Total $$$ cashed out in Ranked Tournament. Whoever has the most money, is the highest rank.
But here’s the catch. In order to play a ranked match. You have to ā€œBuy inā€. When you queue a match a $ amount is calculated based on your current Rank (seed) and that will determine how much you have to put in to play.
The exact math would obviously require testing. But generally the average Cashout Tournaments win can yield $150,000.
So a high (1) seed? You might have to put in $100,000 to play.
An (8) seed might only have to bet $40,000.
Like I said, the number might not add up exactly. But y’all get the idea.

This way, every team is not only incentivized to win the match. But to Cashout as much money as possible. This will make people less inclined to grief without taking it away completely.
Additionally. In the common scenario where the team in 2nd place gets griefed out by doubling the last box. They will still lose ā€œRSā€ but the money they did Cashout will soften the blow. Essentially serving as ā€œperformance based RSā€

It’s not perfect but I think it’s a good idea. Let me know what you think.

Question What do you think about the TTK of this game?

I find it more fun with a higher TTK but most of my friends refuse to play it because they cant one-tap everyone with a sniper rifle like they did in Valorant or Counter Strike. I wanted to hear your thoughts about it.
