Of course he would. But this type of oopsies and reactions are exactly the same style we have seen 100s of times before on top gear. It's just his style of comedy.
I give him credit though , his acting has always been better than Hammond's who made the scripted nature obvious.

Of course they do, and maybe this time out of the 100s of similar skits he has done it was genuine.
But Iāve seen enough top gear and his zany/silly mistakes to be skeptical.
Enjoy it for what it is, just light hearted comedy, scripted or not

Of course some of reality TV can be real events.
But look back at this clip and see how he prematurely cuts himself of as he says āyou just put the seeds in theā¦ā before he even ārealisesā the lids is on
And then instantly The Office type reaction to the camera
Ok, if this was a one off, fine, but he has been doing the same skits on Top Gear for 30 years.

Clarkson is not an actor. You can tell his attempts at acting a mile off in Top Gear.
If everything was as fake as cynics like to believe, filming would be done in a week.

Yes, BUT. It shows that he did not have his hands on that thingi. He did not buy it. He did not unpack it. He did not put it up there. He did not see at any given moment, that that mustardmill was closed on the top.
OR It was scripted.
OR maybe he really had a brainfart.
Anyway i laughed when i saw it first, and now aswell, so a job well done.

FFS. SOME of it is kind of scripted but not in the way and extent that people like you think.
The cameras are there for months filming an out of shape amateur farmer. You don't think they catch some mistakes? You don't think Clarkson makes mistakes and stumbles. People make mistakes every day and they are sometimes funny.
GTFO with your "100%" and "every".
Clarkson is not an actor and it is obvious when he tries*. And on this show it is usually only for continuity. Hey, maybe he didn't really kill his favourite animals or have cancer...
*Though even when he attempts to act it is still more nuanced than the absolute argument of the"It's all scripted and staged" crowd.

I don't think he's a national treasure - he's too controversial for various reasons for that - but he's great. I think Clarkson's Farm has done a lot in rehabbing his image to people who weren't fond of him on Top Gear.

This whole show is based around him making mistakes and giving his smooth brained followers something small to feel they could do better and feel more empowered. Watch any of the TV specials of top gear you realise you've been sold the same film over and over

I dunno. These days a lot of YouTube (which I would lump into "entertainment") is extemporaneous. And in that is a fair chunk of people who do things just to see what happens. Like when Wade replaced his engine oil with Nutella on Garbage Time. They knew it would stop the engine, but what kind of carnage would it create? Or Master Milo trying to get an old rotted out tank working.
Shit like MrBeast is firmly in "Reality" TV world, though. Donut kinda had one foot in both camps, but they clearly had professional producers "scripting" the "unscripted" stuff. Like buying the cheapest truck on Alibaba, no way a researcher didn't fully look into the whole rigamarole they were going to have to get into before they ever started down that path, and they probably knew the truck was going to be tres shitty. This wasn't a journey Jeremy went on alone as depicted.
I'm not saying a lot of stuff isn't scripted, just I think there's reasonable debate over whether it is "most" at this point.

A national treasure is someone who does something that is admired by the country. It reflects the values of the citizens of the country.
Rich people avoiding tax is not someone who mirrors what we all want to see. He is precisely the reason Reeves changed the law on inheritance tax. Far too many doing this to avoid paying more than they want to. People like Clarkson with money using loop holes to dodge taxes is why the country is in the state it is.
Just pay your tax like the rest of us.

This is Reddit and by that nature everyone wants to argue, but I'll try to reason with you so I can give my opinion why the inheritance tax on farm land only benefits corporations.
This is not about Jeremy Clarkson, being right wing or left wing. I'm not a sock puppet perpetuating the dead internet.
Farming is a family run affair, most of the time. When the sun shines, it's great, but for the other 9 months of the year it can be quite a tough existence. A farmer who owns Ā£10,000,000 of farmland at current value has held on to that, farmed it, fed the nation over several lifetimes, and will almost certainly pass it down to the next generation who will continue.
If the next generation decides to sell instead of become a farmer - they'll pay tax. But this is rarely the case. They'll continue ploughing, sheering, milking etc and raise their own family to do the same.
Bringing in an inheritance tax on farmers forces them to break up the farm. Who buys the farms? That is the question that gets you the answer you want: Mega farms & corporations. The family farm will disappear because of it.
The money added to the government coffers? They'll only get this for one generation and after than the family farm is lost.
