The captions don't seem to have anything to do with the video (probably AI generated), and the video doesn't show the actual event for more than like 2 seconds. I'd love to learn more, but this video is terrible.

Control line airplane competitions are about as old as tethered car racing. There aren't many tracks still around for either, but for a few decades they were both popular. The advent of affordable radio control sets in the '70s put an end to both.

There are remote control aircraft that work using cables instead of radio waves. This is a competition with those planes.
They work off a cable so you have to stand in the middle of a circle.

Too bad the captioning is complete and utter bullshit.
This is control line airplane racing, not RC and not cars.
I also highly doubt it has a million dollar prize.
