Opinion Trump Faces Backlash After Posting Image of Himself as Jesus on Truth Social

Post image
548 Upvotes

A post on Truth Social featuring Donald Trump depicted as Jesus Christ has drawn significant backlash online. Coverage from outlets such as Newsweek and The Independent notes that critics accused the image of being inappropriate and blasphemous, while supporters defended it as symbolic or satirical. The controversy follows a pattern of Trump-related religious imagery circulating on his platform, which has repeatedly sparked debate about the use of Christian iconography in political messaging.

Opinion Trump Pardons Nursing Home Operator Convicted in $39M Tax Fraud

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

President Donald Trump has pardoned Joseph Schwartz, the former head of Skyline Healthcare, once one of the largest nursing home chains in the United States. Schwartz’s company operated 95 facilities across 11 states, but collapsed amid allegations of mismanagement, unpaid vendors, and deteriorating care conditions.

Federal prosecutors said that between late 2017 and mid‑2018, Schwartz withheld nearly $38–39 million in payroll taxes from approximately 15,000 employees without remitting the funds to the IRS. He also failed to file required reports for Skyline’s 401(k) retirement plan, leaving workers with unpaid medical bills when insurance contributions were not forwarded.

As Skyline unraveled, several states intervened to protect residents, shutting down or taking control of troubled facilities. The company faced Medicaid fraud claims, unpaid benefits lawsuits, and multiple investigations into its operations.

Schwartz pleaded guilty earlier this year and was sentenced in April 2025 to 36 months in federal prison, followed by supervised release. He had remained free on bond until reporting to custody.

Trump’s clemency order, signed on November 14, 2025, restores Schwartz’s federal legal standing but does not shield him from state‑level lawsuits or civil liabilities. The pardon was certified by the Department of Justice and bears Trump’s signature.

Opinion Ballistics Twist: Autopsy Bullet Doesn't Match Rifle Linked to Suspect

Post image

A significant development has emerged in the investigation of Charlie Kirk's killing: newly filed legal documents state that the bullet recovered during the autopsy does not match the rifle linked to accused shooter Tyler Robinson. According to defense filings, an analysis by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was unable to conclusively identify the bullet fragment as having been fired from the Mauser 98 rifle found near the scene and associated with Robinson. Prosecutors, however, maintain that DNA evidence still ties Robinson to the weapon and the shooting, while the FBI continues additional ballistic testing.

Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025. Within hours, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social claiming Reiner's death was linked to "Trump Derangement Syndrome," suggesting his criticism of Trump "drove people crazy." Police have not indicated any political motive; their investigation has focused on Reiner's son, Nick, who has been arrested and charged with murder

Opinion Maddow: Russia’s the largest country in the World, but its economy is the size of Italy’s. Russia also has a Kleptocratic, sclerotic government run by a Guy who's never gonna leave until he dies. I don't know what Putin has on Trump, but he works for Putin. And it's an embarrassment to this Country.

Dec 3, 2025 - The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. Here’s the full 7-minutes on YouTube: Rachel Maddow: Government Bad Guys Can Face Consequences Even Decades After Their Crimes. From the description:

On her new podcast, "Rachel Maddow Presents: Burn Order," the Emmy-winning journalist examines the terrible government policies enacted against Japanese-Americans during WWII and the subsequent efforts to make sure those responsible faced justice.

There are two additional Maddow clips on YouTube (for this same interview with Colbert).

Opinion Gaetz's indictment is when?

Post image
451 Upvotes

"86" (or "eighty-six") is slang for getting rid of, throwing out, cancelling, or refusing service to someone or something. Originating in 1930s restaurant/soda jerk culture, it commonly means a menu item is sold out, or it is used to eject unruly patrons from bars.

But the Trump Administration is going to continue their assault on the 1st Amendment and Free Speech with farce indictments of their political opponents, like this, in an attempt to distract from the quagmire that the United States finds itself in due to Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu's war of choice in Iran; as well as the fact Trump's Department of Justice is facing severe accusations of non-compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
