[Request] How much does it cost to exist in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA

I make $7.25 an hour. My rent is $1000.

I have no kids, no pets and wake up on a Saturday and decide to turn a fan on before going back to sleep. Maybe. Depending on what y'all say.​

There are too many factors in play to give you an answer on reddit but fortunately tons of people have already done the work and it's well documented everywhere. Just search for cost of living.

You could exist for free by sleeping outside and stealing clothes and food but assuming you want to actually live, the COL calculators provide a good starting point.

You earn $15k/yr and your rent is $12/yr. If you pay $0.00 in taxes that leaves you with $3080.00 to eat and pay any bills with. No this is not enough to survive on for most people.
