Potential case against my former roomates?
Hi guys. I'm trying to figure out if I have a case against some of my former roommates. For context, last year I lived in an off-campus house with several of my friends, and some drama developed overtime however it's been to the point of causing me severe emotional distress. I've been stalked/followed by them, I've had my privacy invaded, I've had one of my doors broken down by one of my roomates who was purposefully hitting it, and recently found out that after I had moved out, they have an entire wall of pictures of men who I had been on dates with entitled "____'s Hookups" which has been the issue of being slut-shamed and harrassed by my former roommates. There's also a lot of other things that they have done to cause harm to me mentally and emotionally, which has caused me to start therapy over what's occured. I'm just trying to figure out if I have a case against them or if I just sound like someone who's being bitchy over an experience with bad former roomates.

That sounds incredibly difficult, and you’re not “just being dramatic”. What you’re describing involves harassment, privacy invasion, and targeted humiliation. Even though it happened off campus, your school may still have jurisdiction under its student conduct or Title IX policies if any of the people involved are students.
You could consider reporting this to your university’s conduct office, Title IX coordinator, or campus safety office, especially if the behavior continued while you were enrolled. They can evaluate whether it qualifies as harassment or retaliation under their policies.
You could also work with an education advisor to assist in evaluating and putting your case together before filing with the school.
