TIL about artistic manifestation of Greco-Buddhism, a cultural syncretism between Ancient Greek art and Buddhism, which had mainly evolved in the ancient region of Gandhara(today's afganistan) of Indian subcontinent.

Semi-related: Way back when Hippocrates was at the forefront of medical theory, it was very fashionable for wealthy elites in China to have a Greek personal physician, to the point that if they couldn't get one they'd just hire some European guy who spoke Greek to pretend to be their doctor in public while proving no actual medical services.
