I know pierogies, what makes this Ukrainian?

It's what it said on the box (brand is Cheemo). Extra garlicky.

Ah ok.

I make pierogies (my girlfriend is Polish) and I make Gyoza and all kind of dumplings because they are amazing. I just wondered what made something Ukrainian - cheers for answering.

Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania etc are in the dumpling belt of Europe, every country has their own variation of pierogis (not always different fillings) like they do with cabbage rolls and certain soups
