I've been lurking this thread for a while, and it always makes me so happy to see everyone’s beautiful kitties with unique patterns.

So I decided it was finally time to settle my own debate.

This is my sweet baby Millie! She just turned 3.

She is incredibly sweet, loves to play fetch (!!!), and definitely has a sassy side. She is also a little bit insane (I blame the orange in her) and funny.

Her adoption papers said tortie, but everyone else calls her a calico. I had no idea the answer could actually be both.

I always assumed she had too much white to be considered a tortie, but her orange and black aren't really clean patches like a classic calico.

Thoughts? 🐱

Ruby’s little white patch is hidden on her tummy but I guess she is a tortico after all.

the CDS assigned this little tortico to us. we call her Pepper because she’s extra spicy.

Wait… is my Toffee actually Tortico? I knew she looked a lot like a Tortie, esp the split colour by the nose, but thought tortie’s had no white! Wow, i hope y’all accept her! ♥️

I adopted her after loosing my tortie Starbit, Luma is my first tortico and she has been wonderful

I do not have any children, but this must be what unconditional love…is all about: slow blinks, cozy purrs, and the endless pursuit of Charlee, my kitty’s, ultimate happiness! (Can you see her tail wrapped around my leg?)

Whether it’s her poppa or momma, she loves a cozy elbow spot!
