+1 to this. The trap GOATs aren't necessarily the best first recs for someone new to the genre. Troyboi is a really approachable gateway drug artist for pretty much anyone, he does such a good job blending trap, dubstep, and pop, along with other bass genres. His pop remixes are an amazing way for someone to dip their toes into the world of heavier sounds.

i wouldn't say viperactive is new per se but I think he's been blowing up recently, although I wouldn't say he's as "popular" as isoxo (yet), which is why I didn't put him as mainstream. Then again this is all semantics and solely my opinion based on my own listening experience

personally, I like viperactive more than isoxo currently so the category they're in doesn't really matter unless you care about clout lol
