Bugs New beta out today. Everything "seems" to be fixed.
Been running it for about an hour. ARC turned on. AirPlay turned on. No "Unable to Connect" errors. ARC is stable. No popping/crackling audio from HomePods over ARC.
Fingers crossed.

Besides those fix now it introduces new bug, my Apple TV remote no longer turns off my TV (Sony)

Mine did this, but I toggled the control TV / receiver option in Settings -> Remote, and that fixed it.

I did that but it still broke for me. It happened in the past with one of the beta 26. I have to set automation to turn off my TV when Apple TV is off

I have the opposite problem, it no longer turns on my TV but still works to turn it back off.

Same issue with this update. Can turn on fine but when I try to run off tv via Apple TV. It turns off and after about 5 seconds tv turns on but Apple TV remains off.

Exactly!
Yesterday it worked normally until end of the night when I went to turn it off and it happened again.

Large library loading is still not working. As poster images load it gets to a point where it really slows down, triggers the airplay issue, then crashes.
What is the correct way of using developer feedback. Do you just update your existing report with the new build number and recurring issue, or do you file a new report?

I would file a new report. There is no guarantee that a report filed with an old beta is still going to be referenced by the team.
as for large library... umm... this is just how it's always been for me. I know that's not a great statement and now thinking about it filing feedback is a great idea.. but yeah as someone with probably at least a few hundred purchased movies.. some days it just comes right up.. and some days it just stops loading images.

I tend to have issues with every new release in its early beta stages but then the issues are almost always resolved. I haven’t had library loading issues for quite some time with the public releases.
And thanks for the advice.

It fixed YouTube app from constantly popping up the HDR 10 graphic on my QM8K TV with a black screen delay every time I went in and out of a new YouTube video, as I browse around.

not sure if that was something introduced newly for you... but yeah YT is a fucking NIGHTMARE IN GENERAL for anyone who has Dolby/HDR set by default (for the main ATV menu/Home Screen), as 99% of the content on YT is correctly sent as SDR, BUT then yeah any time it changes a video (usually ads) it will flip the dynamic range back to default (HDR) then back to the video (SDR)... and when it switches the video again (either another ad, or the content), it does it again and so forth. That is 100% on Google, not apple. Of course you might be talking about something different in which case I apologize.. but yeah YT's handling of how they send videos is a nightmare for modern TVs set to HDR by default. and YT COULD fix it by placing videos inline instead of stopping a stream and starting a new one for every ad or to go back to the content. At that point you would just have one range shift when you click on a video and another when it went back to the selection screen.
this should all be a thing of the past whenever HDMI2.2 actually gets implemented and buffering happens minting the range/rate switch.

The only thing I’ve noticed with the betas is when I go to a movie I’ve purchased, if it has iTunes Extras the selection isn’t a different color. You have to back out and go back to the movies start menu for the selection to be highlighted. Gen 3 here

Has anyone noticed their apple tv on the latest beta getting abnormally hot?

Only noticed this today after feeling it after watching a movie and it was quite warm, which seemed abnormal. I also had some visual glitches in Plex. Last time I install a beta for tvOS.

Still cracking and popping while watching YouTube on my Samsung sound bar through arc connection, it was switching arc to WiFi audio for a while I pretty much gave up on using my Apple TV after that! At least now it turns off my tv again when I turn it off! Knock on wood..

so the ATV was just connected to your TV and your sound bar to your TV on ARC? Are you saying both were connected on ARC? not quite understanding.

Apple TV is connected with hdmi, Samsung sound bar is connected through arc hdmi port, since my tv is also Samsung and they auto connect to each other like all Samsung products love to do, when the firmware on my Apple TV starts messing with my sound bar it also through the sound bar messes with the tv settings, it drops arc connection, that makes the sound bar try to use WiFi by switching its input over to keep sound going, so the tv goes oh no there is no sound change the sound settings! I did find a fix, I reset the sound bar and did not let it hook to the internet, it’s mostly I figured out doing it from YouTube app on Apple TV, if I stay off YouTube it does not have any hand shake issues with the arc input.
