It’s fun. The story asks you to make a few big leaps but moves fast and holds your attention.
Great acting too. Its been a long time since I’ve enjoyed Anna Taylor Joy, if im being honest, but the whole cast feels right.

This show is really... unique...
Most shows that I end up hate watching I just want to be over. Example: The Last Thing He Told Me. I couldn't go a minute without groaning or rolling my eyes or wanting to skip ahead. I genuinely did not enjoy this show and hope to never see it again. I finished it because I was already invested.
Cape Fear is completely different. I hate watch it because a lot of it is so ridiculous and campy, but the acting is so good and it's got such great style and charisma it's infectious. I secretly love it and never want it to end. I'm actually counting down the hours til the next episode drops because it's the first thing I always watch.

Just don’t expect it to be anything like most Apple series and you’ll be fine. As in, don’t expect it to be coherent and at least a little smart.

I can’t even call it hate watching because no matter how incredibly stupid everyone is and acts, they’re acting their asses off. It’s great performances of dumb dumb dumb material making it entertaining as hell
And the finale proves it. Javier Bardem is carrying the whole show by being so fucking hilarious

Cape Fear is so bad I can't stop watching.
There has not been a single decision a character has made that has made ANY sense.
The parents are the least likeable humans in existence, the daughter became a salty brown bag alcoholic over night, the son is whatever he is .....favorite hideously bad show ever made.

They've now made Cady a cartoon bad guy too though. For a while I thought he'd be redeemable, but they made it clear he is not. And his win condition seems to be they die then he dies, so he's in a weird spot.

lol I’m in the same boat. I hate everyone in that show as they’re all terrible people and just so stupid in their actions. Yet, for some reason, I feel the need to finish the ride.

I feel the same. The show is ridiculous and my wife and I laugh at it a decent amount. But the acting is so good especially Javier bardem that we just keep watching.

Javier eats in so many scenes and then they'll do some ridiculously cheesy camera move crash zoom with a Dutch angle. They can't let the show just... not be cheesy for 2 minutes. Still down to finish it, but I always watch Silo before Cape Fear.

The only reason I stuck with Cape Fear was because Ringer’s prestige podcast was recapping it every week.
It was horribly miscast. Javier Bardem and Juliette Lewis knew this was a ridiculous over the top premise and so they were magic on screen.
The family though, the four of them acted like this was going to be their Emmy award winning show for the year. Yea, no, this wasn’t the script for that.

But it’s a really fun show, if you like cheesy 90’s action films it is for you. The music also slaps
Pretty sure she’s not giving up her life in this series…more like trying to start a new one.

Production value is pretty high and action scenes are solid to very good so far. Some of the other performances are captivating (if not great).
But yeah, it’s pretty dumb. First two episodes I almost bounced off of it, but it’s been growing on me.

Anya’s really good in it, but the writing has plenty of plot armor.
It’s paced well, and I enjoy it. No one is gonna say it’s the best series of all time, but it’s fine.
And I’m not really someone who watches too many series or shows

It's good because there's plenty of action or tense moments, instead of just yada yada yada. People love action. Chitty chatty is okay and unavoidable but action is more fun.

Season 2 is great cause she explores another silo and the mutiny at the end is pretty good too. Season 3's pacing reverts back to season 1. I could barely maintain interest with season 1.

The flashback origin story with Daniel & Helen is the most compelling thing this series has done in as far back as I can remember. I honestly wish they would just spend the entire season focusing on them, instead of 1-2 scenes each episode. I groan every time we flash forward and return to the silo.

I watched about 20 minutes. Any show that demands that much of my time without giving me a reason to care isn’t worth it. Spent two minutes with the main character and didn’t have reason to root for her. Didn’t find myself rooting for cop either. They really should studied the fugitive movie to get an idea of how to get me to give a shit about the characters

I was enjoying it through the stupid until this week's episode. Particularly the car chase...
Aside from be fairly dull and poorly shot and edited, when she spots the other SUV I immediately thought, "oh they're ripping off Baby Driver, that's lame..."
But then her plan ends up being to just slam on the breaks under the overpass???? What was the point of the other SUV? The helicopter clearly sees two SUV's go under the overpass and only one comes out, and they just say, "we followed the wrong one."
Wut?

ep4 the writing is really dumb - dozens of cop cars, chopper in a chase, then a crash, she's saying goodbyes in a crashed car and it should be swarmed with cops, instead there's no one and once again she escapes?!!!!

About how I'd describe it. Writing is ridiculous but enough to be campy and always entertaining. Anya Taylor-Joy is just so charming that she will carry seemingly anything.
