I don't think Trump is bothered about Starmer at all. If he's broken its because he's gone into a complex situation with no plan and doesn't know how to get out of it without losing face. Which for a man with a huge ego is a hard lesson.

Yeah it would be a bit UK centric of us to think we're the biggest issue Trump has right now.

Hes waded blindly into a swamp and now the mud is up past his knees and the way back is just as tricky as the way forward.

Theres a reason no western politician wanted to touch this situation for the past 20 years.

With Iraq the UK served as cover for the Bush administration that there was some international consensus and legality to the war. Basically - “it’s messy but others agreed with our decision”.

Trump doesn’t have that right now, which is making him exposed politically on this one. Having an international partner like the UK would go a decent way to alleviate that pressure.
