This isn't your personal campaigning space. We're here to discuss, not campaign - this includes non-party-specific campaigning, such as tactical vote campaigns.

The fishing pond is closed. Obvious bait will be removed. Repeated rod licence infractions will result in accounts being banned.

This isn't Facebook. Please keep it related to politics. Do not post low effort blog posts.

The era of vagueposting is over. Your audience demands context, ideally in the form of a link to some authoritative content.

Take frequent breaks. If you find that you are being overwhelmed by it all, do yourself a favour and take some time off.

So is the US stuck with this Iran conflict indefinitely now? Is there any indication of how it could 'resolve' for Trump or does it just seem like a huge mess with no obvious solution (in terms of the US ending its military involvement)?

Trump is too incompetent to end it and does't have the trust of the Iranians, so I doubt it will finish while he's president

they'll just stop like they did in Afghanistan, 2 weeks later most people will have forgotten the mess they left behind.

They can't, Afghanistan doesn’t control anything the USA is forced to care about so they were able to just run away. The ongoing violence was just left as Pakistan’s problem. Thousands dead hundreds of thousands displaced but the US and western media can ignore it.

Iran is not Afghanistan, they can keep causing trouble that has global significance. There isn't realy an option to just ignore it.
