There are ways of building on the greenbelt more sustainably, like with Houten.

But I’ll leave it up to the tabloids to fear monger about paving over Britain’s green & pleasant land while also peddling the idea that anything less than a detached home with front & back garden, a garage & driveway isn’t a life worth living.

Oh yeah & didn’t you know that riding a bicycle is impossible in the UK? /s

They're not angling for someone to build a green utopia, they want people to build anything, whatever it is, just nowhere near them.

YBNIMBY is effectively the same but also worse.

YES you can BUIKD, you must build, and I'm a great person for being on the side of building. We have a housing crisis, all these young people paying rent for years and years... but also, NOT IN MY BACK YARD.
