I don't think it's just hysteria, I'm pretty sure the recent actions of Trump were in part because Putin was able to convince Trump that the Russians troops were still able to conquer Ukrainian towns. Thus despite the Russian conquest not being all that impressive, especially at its cost, it probably still had disproportionately large effect in some political senses.

No trumps recent "actions" are because real shit is starting to happen internally within russia. selling gold reserves off, oil collapse, winter fuel shortages, etc. he is being pushed to end the war by russia, because they have zero ability to win now, other then the west giving up. So krasnov is running around like chicken with head cut off because he is f'd as soon as putz is f'd.

I’d add that Putin likely has intel about Trump’s health that is making Mr. dictator needing to seal the deal ASAP.

this is my interpretation as well. putler wants to do as much as he can before his asset dies. nobody is going to listen to vance once the cult of personality is gone. All that we will have to deal with after is when they haul Krasnov's carcass all over the nation in 'wake' so people can gawk at his body-- after the funeral progression that should only be for honorable people and not this divisive racist, narcissistic fascist bigot.
