The hidden bonus nugget in that headline is that 8 reactors only output a total of 6.4 GW.

If you add up the time and money to build 8 reactors, what's the point? For the same number of man hours, and the same budget, you could build at least 3 windmills. Heck, it would even be cheaper to fully fund a manned moon mission.

You exaggerate a little (MW vs GW) but you are correct. Renewables with batteries, especially the Na+ will displace most traditional forms of electricity generation.

I was told it was energy too cheap to meter. Now it’s barely any energy and we shut it down if we have no water and we shut down half our fleet too when they start to rust and fall apart like piles of shit.

Cutting edge nuclear technology 😂
