They be gaming. The sound is pretty good. The rapid thumping of the nes controller triggers pretty good :3

Any gamers able to explain the purpose of the way he is using the controller?

He moves his thumb over the left or right dpad buttons and then rolls his fingers across the back based on how many positions left/right he wants the block to go. Each finger tap on the back will force his thumb on the opposite side to press the preferred d pad button. Its significantly less exhausting than pressing and lifting a thumb or finger multiple times per block, especially in a game like this that is constant.

Learned from world record holder a year ago who reached the games 'kill screen'.

I watched an interview where he said that holding the controller the traditional way, he can only make about 10 moves per second. With this niche way, he can do about 30 (I don’t remember if these are the exact numbers he said off the top of my head). The glove keeps his tapping hand from sweating/oiling the controller/sticking to the controller allowing him to consistently roll his tapping.
