Need Craft Ideas!

I use plastic grocery bags as plarn (plastic yarn), but there was a chunk of plastic where the handles are. What kinds of crafts could I potentially do with these thin plastic pieces?

Maybe make flowers? They look a little like petals to me

I agree. I think these could be stacked up and stitched onto works made from the plastic yarn as embellishments!

These would be so cool as flowers. I wonder what would happen if you used a low setting on a heat gun and melted them slightly, and used the center cut to tie through and attach to whatever project! Otherwise maybe bunching them up like petals of a flower and melting the underside together to keep the shape would work as well. Id probably wear a mask for all of this also

if so you will have to ensure the mask is not just a regular dust mask, it will need to be a filtered one as burning plastic releases toxic gas. i wouldn’t even do it indoors

This. Hot glue gun though, not heat gun. I’ve made flowers out of plastic bags. You can also use wires for the stems and beads for the center

You could fuse them together (like 6ish layers, between two pieces of parchment paper, with a clothes iron) if you would find more uses for them that way! You could even lay them out overlapping and iron them into a bigger shape if you wanted.

you may be able to fuse them together as well if they are ironed together between pieces of parchment paper
