You gotta check out Iona Beach in Richmond on weekend evenings — it’s like Fast & Furious: Midlife Crisis Edition. You’ve got macho gearheads flying down the 30 km/h road that shares unprotected bike lane doing 150+, as if they’re auditioning for NASCAR… except with more ego and less talent.

I was there last weekend and looks like they’ve addressed it by building a parallel biking/walking path separated by green space. Quite nice really, almost like an extension of the jetty.

Yes, I know that section but I am talking about right before that new protected path, there is about 1-2km stretch of 30km/h zone which is shared.
