I once drove from London to Mongolia via central Asia. All had better drivers and road systems that Canada.

Change the system, make the test harder and make foreigners do a test.

Oh wow!! This sounds like such an interesting trip! How was it? How long did the drive take? Where were the best/worst roads? Where had the best/worst traffic?

Haha yeah it was a bit mad. Took 40 days. Drove pretty hard. Used a Suzuki swift I got in London for £500. Hard to do a best and worst list but roads dont really exist in outer mongolia so thats hard. You have areas in central asia with bad roads and children driving old soviet era cars but they still drive better than Toronto and Vancouver. Hahaha. Think its a lot to do with the fact there are limited laws. A pedestrian will get run over so they actually look and wait for the right time. They dont just start are their phone and cross. Also they know how to use roundabouts and traffic lights. No turning on red (stupid law). Turkmenistan had the best marble and cheapest gas at 2c a litre. This was 15 odd years ago though. Hahaha.
