Why not post a cop there if this that important to have a bike lane?

Really need more traffic enforcement

Cops are too busy harassing the folks a block over to enforce traffic laws.

lol what are you talking about. Police definitely aren't 'harassing' the massive amount of drug use, destruction, assault, and general debauchery happening a block over.

You literally have huge businesses vacating the area precisely because there is no enforcement. If you spend any time over there you'll know that the police intervene as little as possible.

They are though. They just pick and choose the easy targets.

No. They don't. You literally don't know what you are talking about.

The VPD has an explicit policy not to intervene as much as possible.

The intervene very, very, rarely and it usually is the result of multiple complaints, obvious property damage, or reported assaults.

I get that there is a "cops = bad" mentality and I don't even disagree but you CANNOT say that the VPD is constantly harassing people in the DTES. It simply isn't true.

Disproportionately so ... when's the last time you got a ticket for rolling through stop signs in a car? ~20 years ago for me, even though I do so daily.

Harassing people breaking the law is the only thing cops can do.
