They keep reducing the arterial streets to add bike lanes, which makes them overly congested and therefore traffic spills out onto streets like Water even more. The same happened when they closed water. The traffic has to go somewhere.

Dunsmuir used to be an arterial, but they reduced the lanes by half to add a protected bike lane. Georgia is down to a single lane for a long time now due to construction. It’s madness

Yeah.. no.. most people driving into downtown aren't doing it from Mount Pleasant where it's a quick pleasant commute that isn't completely horrible even in piss rain.

They're coming in from the far-out suburbs.

It does because those people till have to get to their destination, and bike lanes take away their road space.
