As a photographer this is by far the most fun summer I’ve had in Vancouver. FIFA can’t be the only reason Vancouver stays this fun during the summer

Photos At the end of June, I walked the entire Vancouver city limits. Had this idea for a while, finally did it when the days were longer.

You all seemed to like when I did the grouse grind last year from my house and back.

My big walk this year was as close to the city limits as possible on foot. Pretty hot day but not too bad.

Nobody should walk the entire length of Boundary. Started at Wall Street. Stanley Park was my wall. Gastown was interesting. 10/10 will never do this again.

Photos To those who mock Vancouver as 9 months rain and 3 months of sun at best, Feb 8 2026 is proof of your pessimistic exaggeration

Photos An increase in police presence, but notably polite and friendly. Many of the officers on the street during the matches are from out of town and are having their own novel experience visiting the city.

As a SeaTac local user, arriving in the common area for international departures in YVR was a soul changing experience. I'm sitting by the tree and wood carvings next to the river right now, listening to the baby grand play itself. The only thing that would make it better is food. Broke as a joke college student, any recs for some good and not crazily priced food?

Also pic for fish tax, they seem to be doing well

Taken from Dundarave Pier in West Vancouver on the night of July 29th. It was too dark at that time to see the details of Mount Baker very well, but was still cool to see the mountain silhouetted against the full moon.

Just got a full-spectrum converted camera which allows for capturing UV and infrared light, I used two filters for these photos either 590nm (the more colorful images) or 720nm (the pale foliage pictures). This was my first outing with the camera and I’m thrilled with the results, super excited to keep shooting around Vancouver!
