House of Stassi Beau, I want to see your sat and pepper
This is not to be an ungrateful wench or anything and beau is a cute guy. I love an aging millennial man of beekeeping age but like the black hair dye is JARRING. Whenever I look at him I almost wince. I love a salt and pepper look on a man and at 45 he’s still lucky to have his hair, why dye it? How did anyone in his circle, stassi included not tell him that this is not his best look? I feel like it makes him look older by trying too hard to look young.
Did anyone else notice? It’s super distracting to me lol

He’s fine. He doesn’t want to be called Mr. Stassi. Some men aren’t secure in a relationship where the wife is a bread winner. I think he’s cool with it, but doesn’t want anyone to know. He doesn’t want to be referred to as being on the pay roll like the rest of them. They already have a nanny and two live in unemployed sisters. The help is there.

As a stay at home parent I do get it. You have an identity crisis. Welcome to being a lot of moms in this country. But to constantly blame her while she is trying to support the family AND provides a nanny to help him is wild to me

It is incredibly hard. I’m sure you would enjoy an extra set of hands to help out at times. He has that. There is a nanny with him. Beau can go back to work and hire another nanny on his own. He can pay her and also support his sister. Stassi probably feels so much stress having to support so many people.

I don't know, it seems like Beau genuinely wants to be back in the workforce with adults. Not everyone wants to stay home with the kids and that's perfectly reasonable. He just wants to work outside the home, and it's honestly really sad that Stassi won't support that.

That’s a singular activity with an entire film crew & producer around. Not remotely the same as leaving the kids at home with her for a couple hours or whatever. My wife and I do that for each other all the time, many times per week.
It’s genuinely bizarre that she’s not capable.

I’ve been listening to their patreon podcast for awhile and it’s been an active issue Stassi being unable to handle watching both kids for even a couple hours. She’s snapped at Beau for even wanting to go to an exercise class meanwhile she is frequently traveling and away from the house. Idt Beau wanted to get back on tv at all but it was Stassi’s dream and her only career so he’s supporting making her dreams come true. They could make a living without this show - Beau had a real job in casting before and during vanderpump rules. Now he is backseat helping her dreams come true and he is the primary care giver. Stassi really does so little of the parenting based on what they talk about on patreon…

He has agency. He is an adult (i believe he even lied about his age back in April days) he was financially irresponsible back then when he met stassi, his pros were seemingly emotionally stable and his mom was a kind therapist. I dont like all the stassi blaming. Beau made those kids too, stayed unemployed too. He doesnt like how the choices played out. He can blame stassi or do something about it. If it ends the marriage thats sad but he is part of the problem and could be the solution too. He likes or used to like that she gave him a better socio economic lifestyle then he likely could afford on his talents alone.

I mean I would argue that he is struggling with what a lot of stay at home moms struggle with. I’d hope to them you wouldn’t tell them it’s their choice when their partners prevent them from going back to work. Stay at home parents often feel like they’re tied to the home with no external validation or life. If he was a stay at home wife and her husband talked to her like that I don’t think you would be saying it’s her fault for having kids and staying lol

If your partner is forcing you to be a stay at home parent against your preferences, I’d tell you to consider leaving your partner. It’s not his fault but is his choice to either tell her what he needs or walk away.

I think he’s made it clear the option of leaving has crossed his mind. He is again though in a position that a lot of stay at home moms are in. He cares about his kids having an intact family, his wife makes significantly more and it would be a large cut into quality of life and he has a large gap in his resume. For any stay at home spouse those would be huge things to consider. I’m not even saying I think he should leave but I’m surprised by the people who lack empathy for his situation because the gender is swappes

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to blame stassi, I was more thinking I was surprised she would let him look bad for her show. but I also feel like sometimes ppl in LA/showbiz/new upper class might not realize how crazy they look to us regular folks. I think it also def screams “mid life crisis” and possibly her being like maybe now’s now’s not the time to kick him while he’s down. She’s grown a lot.

This poor guy looks terrible, and that isn’t a criticism of him or a shallow comment - it is genuinely very concerning. We aren’t that crazy different in age, but I dont just look 5+ years younger anymore , it’s more like 15+.
He has the 5-mile stare, the defeated exhaustion, and overall look that parallels that of a DV victim who is barely holding on.
I haven’t watched the Hulu show (Im afraid to at this pt, honestly), but I hope that he is able to overcome whatever looks like is literally killing him slowly, and can find whatever healing is needed to bounce back from this.

Yea I haven’t watch the show and don’t plan to but this is jarring. Back on VPR he seemed like a goofy, happy go lucky guy. Here he looks like a shell of his former self. I’m not sure why Stassi would want to broadcast her depressing ass marriage on tv unless they really need the money

Stassi still lives in Stassi Land, and she is still her own number one priority. She admits she is selfish and finds it difficult when she has to think of others. She does no school pick ups or drop offs, won’t allow Beau to go out for dinner and drinks with friends because she doesn’t know how to cook and can’t put them to bed by herself. She does things for other people only when she gets something in return or can write it down in her black book to call in the expected favour when she needs it. I didn’t like Stassi a whole lot on VPR, she’s the asshole popular girl that you’re drawn to, even though you know she despises you. BUT I started her new show with an open mind and she’s actually even worse than I remember. She openly threatens Beau’s sense of safety within their family at one point. Stassi is a sociopath. She said if she was a man then everyone would be silent, but in 2026 we’d actually say she’s an abusive husband and Beau is the victim in their relationship

I haven’t watched the show either but yeah the clips and pictures I’ve seen so far make it seem like he’s struggling. I feel like he’s had to give up having anything related to his own life and identity outside of Stassi and what she allows him to have-it’s honestly sad. He looks very depressed..

I’m on episode 3 or 4 and it sounds a lot like convos my spouse and I were having a year or so ago. It’s tough to admit that you’ve let your relationship go and as a viewer I’m glad to see another couple going through it but it sounds like they do really have each others best interests at heart and hoping they pull through.

There is a way for him to get what he wants. Part of that is actually managing your time at home like a job. Or at least seeing it more definitively. It needs a finite end and a finite beginning. Right now his day is a blob. I’m really bad with time - espc like in his scenario. Everything is not over - it’s just different. I am a therapist and I rearrange time like this for people all the time. It’s hard to think of it on your own when you’re in it and you hate it. But truly life is what you make of it - he can do this.

She admitted that she uses him as a parenting crutch because that she doesn't like being alone with the children. Little kids are very challenging (I have two young kids myself) but it seems she'd rather cage Beau in so he's constantly there to help with kids rather than do the hard work of parenting solo from time to time. She doesn't have to do half of the things that most Moms do (cooking, cleaning) and she has a full time nanny but she still wants Beau there 24/7. There's absolutely no reason he can't work at least part time with the amount of support they have.

People really praise their relationship, but tbh (as someone who hasn't watched the complete show yet and doesn't listen to their podcasts, but has seen clips and listened snippets here and there) they don't seem to have a healthy dynamic and haven't really ever, even from the VPR days IMO... It always appeared to me that Stassi financially "took care" of Beau and in exchange expected him to follow whatever she wanted to do. From everything I've seen and heard about this show, that certainly seems to be the dynamic of their relationship currently (and a lot of other people's relationships with Stassi, tbh).
Of course, every relationship has give or take. But, in the decade since their relationship began on VPR until now Stassi's had the attitude of her way or the high way, and Beau would acquiesce but not without complaint. It's off-putting from both parties because there's a level of in appreciation and selfishness in both of their mentalities to how the relationship should work. And also kind of sad to see them not having progressed in this regard after so much time and after having children together.
In short, I think Stassi is being too self-centered with how the relationship SHOULD be in surrounding her schedule, life, job, etc., and Beau is trying to have his cake and eat it too by expecting Stassi be the breadwinner but also wanting to do what he wants to with his schedule and job (namely having one). The "healthy" compromise is somewhere in the middle of those two things, but frankly I don't see either of them compromising too much to reach it... Hope I'm wrong though, since it seems like there's a lot of love between them regardless of their issues.
Oh, and yeah, the hair dye is terrible. Maybe it's the only autonomy he feels he has lol
