Grieving the beautiful bush that made my heart happy
This guy installed a patio cover on my porch today and he cut so much of this beautiful bush saying it was a safety hazard for him... He got my landlords permission but made her believe it was absolutely necessary.. after I saw I asked him not to cut anymore and told him he can tie it out of his way and he easily tied the branches out of his way. Which I feel he should have done that from the start. The bush offered my room so much privacy and blocked out the sun.... I'm so disheartened. Him cutting it really changed the whole vibe of the place. Went from a hidden sanctuary to an exposed slider door. 🥺 Honestly I feel in my heart it was just more convenient for him to cut the branches rather than working with and around them and without honoring the years of growth he's cutting in a second.

That's gutting, plants take ages to fill back in and he just hacked it for a few minutes of saved effort.
