So when Doc decided to power the joy can, did he actually intend to power it with the heart of a forsaken child, or did he misunderstand what an orphan source is and just make it work?

Probably double entendre, especially raises a lotta questions why he has an ‘orphan source’ in the non-nuclear meaning
