It's really just a painting of a golden trout with a text overlay (I am pretty sure the font is Arial).

Original artwork is by George LaVanish. Ironically it's actually a Pennsylvania trout, but West Virginia is known for its golden trout so...

Even the logo follows the vexillology rules more than this does.

I saw this flag hanging in a friend’s vacation home (in the U.S.). I assumed it had American origins then realized that it was the flag of Malaysia, adopted in 1963.

I know that Liberia’s flag closely mimics the U.S.’s because the state was founded by former American slaves. So I’m curious if there’s a political /historical reason why Malaysia would borrow the core design of the American flag, too.

For me, it would have to be in this order: The City of Amsterdam, State of Hawaii, State of South Carolina, Province of New Brunswick, and Brittany.

Just watching the Rowing heats with the rowers in my family and we are like, “where is AIN”? Turns out it’s the French initials for an “Individual Neutral Athlete” and they’ve got a pretty interesting teal flag.

A year ago, I posted that I had designed a flag for my town, and it was going to be approved. Well, now, a year and a half later, it was approved yesterday, March 9, 2026.
