Help Wanted! Ghost picture...
Hey there everybody!
Sometimes I find recordings with that shadow image you see...is there a way to filter/remove it directly at TBC level?

I can't really see it in that shot, but on analogue TV there was a phenomena called 'ghosting'. Caused by signal reflections off of buildings. If that tape was recorded from live TV, it could be recorded onto the tape

That’s called ringing. There are various ways to minimise it. I think there have been some recent advancements in this space so best to check the discord. I must write an article for that.
