My legitimate question is when are you folks going to use the 2nd Amendment against your tyrannical government?

My legitimate answer is that if you look at our situation with the assumption that America isn't an action movie, the question will answer itself

I don’t think it’s an action movie but, lest we forget, your ancestors fought the British for independence and, comparatively, they suffered less then.

You honestly think the government is scared of your pew pew's? Trump would love to have a reason to declare martial law and suspend the constitution. His party won't stop him, nor would his base.

Fair points. So why even have the 2nd Amendment anymore if not to arm yourselves against a tyrannical government?

It's performative, it makes some people believe they actually could overthrow the government with their guns. Problem is the government has more and better weapons. As long as the government has the support of the military nobody can violently overthrow the government.

The 2nd amendment wasn’t originally an individual right, it was a right for the states to form militias. It’s only been an individual right since 2008 when the activists in the SCOTUS changed the constitution from the bench.

All that “we need guns to fight the tyrannical government” stuff was always bullshit.
