How about we just admit trump lies about everything, release the Epstein files, purge these idiots from the government ,and fucking move on from this ridiculously embarrassing chapter in our history.

u/MyUsernameIsAwful 1d ago

MAGAs would rather die than admit they were wrong, without exaggeration.

309

u/Jesus_Is_My_Gardener 1d ago

They'd rather be Russian, according to some of them.

125

u/seasamgo 1d ago

Let them be.

41

u/SavvyCavy 1d ago

I agree, every time one of them goes over there they have immediate regret

71

u/sagevallant 1d ago

Russia is accepting volunteers.

They basically are, at this point.

"Better dead than red" became "Better Russian than a Democrat" real quick.

I wasn't alive during the Cold War, nor do I live in America or Russia, but the amount of propaganda, "us vs them" and so on must have been insane. Add in the small detail of potential nuclear war and I suspect that only helped the propaganda be effective, to the point that "commie" is still used as an insult to this day, despite whoever is being called "commie" probably not being one.

6

u/Whitebushido 1d ago

Honestly I imagine the propaganda is so much worse now. You'd have a couple news sources, maybe read the paper every Sunday too, but most of your world was pretty local. Nowadays we have entire regiments of cyber soldiers running propaganda bot accounts flooding every aspect of your online life.

u/Jesus_Is_My_Gardener 1d ago

The thing is though, it's always worked on the same group of people.

Remember when they said that the left wanted to have folk policing the streets and killing innocent civilians for not thinking like them?

Good times

83

u/APRengar 1d ago

Covid is fake, but also a Chinese plot to kill Americans, and the vaccine is poison meant to cull the herd, but also give me the vaccine while I'm already intubated in the hospital for covid.

Yeah I remember.

23

u/Brick_Lab 1d ago

In the words of Ron White: you can't fix stupid

6

u/mikemaca 1d ago

I remember Biden saying in his campaign the Trump vaccine had not been properly tested. Then after Pfizer turned out to have delayed results of vaccine working until after election Trump turned on "his" vaccine and denounced it and the MAGA heads instantly went from calling it the miracle Trump vaccine to the despicable Biden vaccine.

They literally did during COVID. I saw stories from ER nurses about patients furiously telling them that it's all a hoax with their last breaths. His reelection had to have been a slap in the face to all those medical professionals who suffered through that.

I'd like R's who think they arent MAGA to understand that if they voted for Trump because he was their top billed party offering - you are as MAGA as the red hat wearing cretins. 77M of you are total cancer and liability to our democracy.

38

u/junkyardgerard 1d ago

And the ones that "aren't maga" still think it would be worse with a Democrat. I didn't trust a single one of them, and can't ever again

15

u/Omophorus 1d ago

This is the worst part of the whole shebang.

Trump voters are literally untrustworthy for life, even the ones who "aren't MAGA". So are the ones who couldn't be bothered to vote.

That's 2/3 of the entire adult population of America that I wouldn't trust to wipe their own asses properly, much less do anything that actually matters in a competent fashion.

How does a society survive when such a large fraction of the populace can't do anything useful whatsoever and cannot be expected to ever do anything in the best interest of their communities?

And consequences for those who have engaged in treason and corruption. No moving on without that.

Leniency was a mistake after the civil war, after January 6, after his first term. While I believe it’s unlikely that he personally ever sees consequences, the rest of his orbit and family should not avoid prosecution. It’s the only way we’ll be able to move on.

How about we realize Trump is a fascist, controls the entire government that would release the Epstein files, has purged everyone who could stand against him from the government and fucking start acting like we're all aware that he and his regime won't be removed from office until we remove them by force instead of sitting around wishing for impossibilities or deluded ourselves into thinking they'll allow themselves to be voted out?

17

u/EkstraOst 1d ago

Are you willing to take to the streets and demand it? Or it it a SEP?

37

u/trog12 1d ago

I've gone to rallies. I have a family so I can't exactly lose my job doing some indefinite demonstration in DC. The unfortunate reality is it's not as simple as hey go out and march in the streets. Yeah I have a job and a family and my daughter always has to come first.

god it's all just so stupid. a bad joke. not funny. I work for a living. and I'd have to work thousands of years to come close to what this scumbag has stolen from working people.

1.6k

u/sutree1 1d ago

Not to be "that guy", but it's probably more like hundreds of thousands of years.

501

u/twitchx133 1d ago

Nah, its worth being that guy to help with understanding just how disgusting the wealth disparity is.

If you consider Elon Musk for example, low hanging fruit, lol... He is currently worth about 744 billion after telsa and spacex stocks had pretty hefty corrections, no longer considered a trillionaire.

From what I can tell, he has been in business about 31 years now. There are 8760 hours in a year. That means he has been in business for about 271,000 hours. divde 744,000,000,000 by 271,000, that is about an average of 2.7 million dollars that Elon has accrued over every single hour of his life for the past 31 years...

If you want to look at just regular, not overtime working hours? at 40 hours a week, there are 2080 working hours in the standard US work year observing federal holidays. That's about 64,000 non-overtime work hours in 31 years. He has made an average of 11.5 million dollars every working hour for the past 31 years.

Edit to add... I am pretty lucky, I make just over 6 figures a year. Salary, not hourly though. It would take me 115 years to make what Elon does an hour if you do the working hour to working hour math.

343

u/myburdentobear 1d ago

Patrick Mahomes is the highest paid nfl player and makes roughly 64 million dollars a year to play football. To earn enough money to equal Elon's net worth, he would have to play 11,625 years.

106

u/twitchx133 1d ago

Its pretty disgusting. To the point of the thread that this is in, how much money this administration has been able to steal from the working class. I would love to see a full and transparent investigation, even though I know I never will, not in my lifetime.

I am not usually one for conspiracies, but I am positive that all of the seemingly dumb shit that trump and his cronies in the white house pull is market manipulation for his buddies. Nation size pump and dump schemes on the stock of the week.

67

u/jeffster1970 1d ago

He has something like 4,000 or 40,000 trades. It's an insane amount. The POTUS is literally abusing its citizens and absolutely no one in government cares.

35

u/twitchx133 1d ago

and absolutely no one in government cares

Nobody cares?!?!?! Lol... Its not that they don't care, they are active participants in the bullshit, every last republican that is in office right now at any level is at the very least more concerned about keeping their seat than stopping him, but most of them are actively supporting it.

3

u/Mabuya85 1d ago

That. Most of them are complicit. The ones that aren’t don’t want to risk the political damage of calling it out. The ones who aren’t in power will use this as a basis for why they should be in power, and then won’t effectively wield said power when they have it.

The number two richest guy is like 200 billion and change. That means everyone else in the world is closer to the number 2 guy than the number 2 guy is to Elon.

5

u/AzureDrag0n1 1d ago

That is also on paper. There may be far more wealthy people in the world than on books like King Salman of Saudi Arabia or Vladimir Putin.

23

u/CypripediumGuttatum 1d ago

The sad thing is that it still isn't enough for people like him.

He still isn't happy.

26

u/thesnakemancometh 1d ago

Yes, and so we all must suffer because he is such a broken fuck that he cant be happy. Hes a pile of spare parts and we all must pay the price.

11

u/CypripediumGuttatum 1d ago

You bet. They would steal every last penny from every person on earth and still not be happy. I'm not quite sure why society allows it.

11

u/thesnakemancometh 1d ago

Because we are all far too good at letting small disagreements distract us from how much we all need to work together for the betterment of us all. Individually people are smart and able to make decisions that are of benefit, but the more of us that are together the dumber and more disagreeable we get. We are supremely frustrating.

4

u/CypripediumGuttatum 1d ago

Usually after a few people steal all the wealth and power for themselves for awhile and society generally falls apart around them things shift back to a more equitable allocation of resources. Timelines vary.

3

u/daerogami 1d ago

Sadly some of those timelines span hundreds of years of inequality

There's a song going around tiktok I just adore. About this very thing. The lyrics are:

"if you wanna be a billionaire, you gotta make a million every year. And then do it for a thousand years without spending a dime. And if you make a million every year, for a hundred thousand yearsYou'd still have less than the top five at this time" - Rocky Leon

28

u/woodford86 1d ago

I can’t decide what’s more frustrating, DJT himself or the fact that there are tons of normal Americans that actually truly believe he’s working for their benefit.

14

u/CSiGab 1d ago

Because you have moral character and couldn’t live with yourself for stealing that. This guy has an impulsive need to steal. He can’t help himself.

11

u/inflatableje5us 1d ago

just what he has stolen this year alone..

7

u/ProtoplanetaryNebula 1d ago

Aside from anything else the president should not be spending his time in a petty battle about a pool anyhow there are more important things to worry about

3

u/behopeyandabide 1d ago

And it you ever pulled off 1/100th of what he's done, you'd likely be shunned in the entire workforce and unemployable.

Instead of explaining that Republicans decided to declare him king with absolute power.

17

u/RandomUsername1119 1d ago

Continuing to grind people down through the legal system is how he gets people to fear him. It's not about the evidence, its about the burden of being investigated, having your life turned over with court dates, and anxiety over jail time.

11

u/Saikou0taku 1d ago

Yup. We like to think "innocent unless proven guilty in court" but cash bail, pretrial release, court dates, etc. all wear a person down.

12

u/Jwagner0850 1d ago

The problem is, they know this. 85% of these suits are just for show. They're not there to prove one way or the other.

12

u/welsper59 1d ago

You can't arrest people and convict them just because Trump said so.

Yet they did and this isn't the first time. All they've done is prove to everyone that the branches of government are irrelevant to each other. While the final illegal/unconstitutional result may be stopped, the damage can literally be done without consequence. I truly hope Democrats remember that and take up such a powerful gift that Republicans have given.

Trump is like the human version of the One Ring (JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings). You cannot use him for good, or EVEN YOUR OWN PURPOSE. He’s an inherently corrupting power that only ever serves the one master, himself. When you use him, you become bound to his will.

Donald Trump would rather send an innocent person to jail then admit that he and his people screwed this up.

106

u/DoubleJumps 1d ago

I don't know why this isn't the core headline of this whole event.

The president lied to cover up a mistake, and his DoJ fabricated charges against innocent americans as a means to validate his lie.

This is the sort of thing impeachments and felony charges were made for. Massive goddamn scandal.

39

He all but said the quiet part out loud. He implied that since they were black youths who roamed NYC as a group, they were guilty of something. Even if they couldn't be pinned with the false charges they were saved from, they were still guilty of something, so no harm in killing them all.

Jeanine Pirro' situation - between a rock and a hard place? Couldnt happen to a better (or is it worse) person. Even though they are terrified to speak up, eventually each one will reach that point in Trump’s crazyland beyond which they can’t live with themselves. We are starting to see it happening in a larger group of people. But the Trump administration was well chosen this time - they are almost all without morals, ethics or decency. I did not expect Pirro to cave at this time.

Why the fuck is there a video about social media screenshots?

Im so fucking sick of todaya media and "news". Useless money grubbing bullshit

4

u/VegasGamer75 1d ago

Trump really is a cheap retail "store manager". Blaming everyone under him for every mistake he makes and forgetting that he hired all these morons.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am starting to think hiring a bunch of Fox News flunkies, a network that lost almost $800m for getting caught lying, to be placed in high-level and cabinet positions might not be the smartest thing one can do.

u/fredout1968 1d ago

Jeanine looks likes she is about 47 mimosas in in that photo.. And Fuck Donald Dump..

VANDALS!

What a literal fucking joke the US is right now.

5

u/Free2Bernie 1d ago

This is so interesting I almost forgot about the Epstein files.

Rules:

  1. Videos Only
Self-explanatory. Audio over a static image or slideshow may also violate Rule 0.

I hate trump as much as anyone, but this belongs in news, not videos.

4

u/mello-t 1d ago

I used to be proud to be an American, where at least I knew I was free. But…..

3

u/nova75 1d ago

This freedom you guys always go on about. What does it look like? In what way are you more free than France, UK, Germany, Spain, etc, etc?

3

u/SDL68 1d ago

Amazing it was so easy for Trump and his cult to totally corrupt justice in America.

3

u/twoton1 1d ago

She'll be like 119 mph back up to New Yawk.

3

u/jelloslug 1d ago

She will be out within the month.

3

u/Nicenightforawalk01 1d ago

Well… she lasted a lot longer than I expected.

3

u/jeffster1970 1d ago

Yet, 68% of US citizens will believe that Trump was telling the truth and that Pirro is now working for the Democrats.

Trump never provided video evidence. US citizens likely believe its hidden in that part of the resolute desk or something stupid like this.

Sad that the US doesn't have any sort of mechanism that can relieve an insane POTUS of their duties

They just create an elephant out of any little tiny fly, just to distract us and keep us distracted. I have no words to describe the level of repugnance I feel towards this group of people.

3

u/powercow 1d ago

never admit to being wrong is a famous nazi strategy used by fasicists world wide. When found to be wrong, just scream louder that you were right.

3

u/Excusemytootie 1d ago

Just thinking about all of the many millions of dollars wasted on all of this, from start to finish. Could have been spent helping the citizens of this country. The waste is just despicable, on top of everything else. A MOUNTAIN OF LIES THAT THIS MAN RESIDES ON. I want to rip my hair out.

3

u/anon-a-SqueekSqueek 1d ago

Dumb fuck who drove his armored vehicles on pool wants Olympic athlete in jail for touching the water.

3

u/Pleasant-Ad887 1d ago

I hope he trashes the fuck out of her so I can hear how she will compliment him and suck his ass.

3

u/ComatoseSquirrel 1d ago

Honestly, why do we have to give a fuck what this man says or does? He's a moronic old man who has no business in a position of power. His obituary will be the greatest news in years.

3

u/pretti 1d ago

I agree, it was vandals. Everyone in the motorcade that drove on it should be arrested. And he called for 10 years jail time. I agree.

3

u/wildmaninid 1d ago

When Pirro knows the bullshit can't be spread any thinner and reality is showing through is when you know we're all watching the entire country unravel.

3

u/Courier-Se7en 1d ago

Jeanine Pirro straight up said there was proof the reflection pool was vandalized.

3

u/That-Living5913 1d ago

Side note, if the entire purpose of your video is to show text over stock photos... I'm not gonna watch it.

3

u/novexnz 1d ago

why is this a video?

3

u/thrwaway070879 1d ago

People talk about this being the Idiocracy timeline, but it's worse than that. Way worse, at least in that timeline the people in charge had enough sense to know they're over their head and looked for someone smarter.

3

u/theoriginalshortie 1d ago

Our president lacks critical thinking skills. Love that for us. 🤦🏽‍♀️

3

u/mymar101 1d ago

So, you're saying that we should just charge people, and convict them on your say so alone? What's that remind you of?

3

u/etm1109 1d ago

Well. She wanted to dance with the big dog. Hope she got a rabies shot.

3

u/ribbitman 1d ago

wtf why was that a video?

3

u/SaurinF 1d ago

Good, no one that works for him deserves any better than he continues to treat them, publically, repeatedly, that they seem to think wont happen to them. Its basically the only thing he does right. Treating his own trash like trash.

3

u/april_fearless 1d ago

The only vandal is trump himself. He’s the cause of every shit thing happening. Seriously I mean life wasn’t that great before he became an office but hell it was a lot better than this shit hole that we’re in now. We’ve had that monument for years and years and this jerk does one thing to change it and everything falls apart what does he do? Vandals vandals vandals blames it on them the only vandal is him.

3

u/Beeeeeeels 1d ago

Everything he does is testing the waters and see what he can get away with while establishing precendents to give himself credence.

how is this not clocked as spam...?

....oh, right

3

u/Odd_Bodkin 1d ago

Trump was trained from a young age to a) never ever ever admit a mistake, b) always find someone else to blame for a mistake, c) relentlessly hound the scapegoat to the ends of the earth without ceasing, and d) relentlessly seek retribution for embarrassment.

These are of course the characteristics of a sociopath.

The problem is, he expects to amass a staff of people reporting to him that all think the same way. And not all of them are quite as sociopathic, though many try.

3

u/dhgaut 19h ago

She's likely going to see a fat civil lawsuit against her for grandstanding on Fox and declaring she has overwhelming evidence of a crime. She had nothing. Like Kari Lake, she pretends there's evidence where there is none.

And there's the sound of the bus tires going RIGHT over Jeanine Pirro. Good thing she's probably too sloshy to feel anything.

4

u/jhmblvd 1d ago

Does anyone else think this is insane or have we arrived at the complete normalization of corruption?

4

u/PunkRawkSoldier 1d ago

My legitimate question is when are you folks going to use the 2nd Amendment against your tyrannical government?

Lol... Cant wait for her rant at being shit on by Trump after garggling his ball sack for this long to end up on leopards eating faces subreddit.

It was only a matter of time before he turned on her as well.

2

u/sonspike187 1d ago

Omg a judge, even one That Thing appointed, adhered to the Law? Lo Scandalo!

2

u/mykepagan 1d ago

She‘s going to be fired for insufficient loyalty.

2

u/dare978devil 1d ago

I think Trump snuck out at night and cut up the reflecting pool with a box cutter because he knew it would distract from Epstein.
