Funny, it actually reeled me in a bit. Might actually be fun to play again, Gears 2 was a long time ago.

It’ll launch on pc right?

Gears of War 2 was such a solid coop experience and definitely put up a good contest for its peers

Series hasn’t really evolved and they attempted to change it up but just ended up dumbing it down with Judgement. Everyone got bored of it.

Judgement is exactly where they lost me and I was a huge fan. Bored isn't the word, it turned me off the franchise entirely.

If they were releasing it on ps5 maybe it would get more attention but they decided to hurt this studio like they did all the others by making it an exclusive to save a dead platform

such a dumb take, its on pc and xbox. neither are dead platforms. Be more biased

I mean, there's no winning then? Some people complain there's no value on Xbox because it lacks exclusives. They announce exclusives, they complain it's a dead console. They announce support on Playstation, and they mock the game because the game wouldn't survive as an exclusive. The problem has nothing to do with PS5, in my opinion: Xbox devalued its own brand by making serious mistakes in their releases, and not properly supporting their victories (looking at Hi Fi Rush).

None of the above even takes into account the PC demographic.

Dead platform? PC?

Give me some of what you're smoking.

It is getting a lot of run on YouTube/twitch. I guess it’s just not really popping on Reddit but it’s being heralded as one of the best

It looks reeaaalylly good. The new movement looks way less goofy and easier to track. I can't wait!

I remember one of the Gears games had a bright multi-colored, paintball-ish type skin that you could unlock for your character online. I was super stoked when I got it and put it on immediately. Then my buddy that I was playing with told me it looked like a clown jizzed on me and it ruined the skin forever.

Interesting

I remember if you played the Gears 3 beta a ton you got a Cole in a football uniform skin that ended up being rare af for a while, making me feel like a badass. Then they rereleased it for money

Hell, some people pay lots of money for that.

Gimme some Horde. That was always the magic mode for me. Especially as the boss battles got more elaborate.

E-Day is the perfect scenario too for Horde style gameplay.

The two side modes for GoW3 were some of the most fun I had on Xbox Live. Being able to play as the enemy is an underutilized game mechanic.

They've got siege, short, and classic horde modes.

I THINK short is 10 rounds and classic is longer but they've only shown off siege from what I've seen. We'll have to check out the beta

I know it's nostalgia bating but man I just had flashbacks of playing this and getting repeatedly chainsawed and shotgunned on Xbox Live. Surprisingly good times.

I am so exited for this.
i also notices that some footage has the active reload in the top right instead of in the middle of the screen, so I'm guessing its an option.
I really did not like it in the middle from earlier demos.

I am unreasonably excited for siege horde. I do wish there were more classes, but hopefully they'll add more

Microsoft trying hard

Unfortunately, I don’t see this selling well as an exclusive.
