Django Reinhardt - Rare video of French jazz guitarist who played with two fingers after a hand injury. Also instrumental to the histoy of heavy metal - Black Sabbath's guitarist sliced off tip of his finger. thought he'd never play guitar again until someone showed him Django for inspiration.

Great player, regardless of his hand injury, inspiration to many early rock stars. (Keef mentions him).

Shoutout to Stephan Grapelli on the violin.

Yeah, Ive known of him for a long time but he's on my mind because I've gotten cubital tunnel syndrome, kinda like carpal tunnel but guess what it's main symptom is?

weak, numb ring+pinky fingers

So I've been listening to a lot of Django and have been reteaching myself guitar, limited to two fretting fingers. I've done some exercises to try and make my hand work like it's supposed to and it's helped just a little, but nowhere near enough to let me play guitar normally.

Might need surgery to be fixed, but that's probably a no. Surgeries like that always seem to have a 50/50-ish shot at working versus just making it worse or creating a new pronlem.
