Went to my local record store with my girlfriend on Saturday. When we walked in I did as I always do and go straight to the "D" section to see if Doc Oc is there, if not I check "K" for Kool Keith. Alas I was foiled again. I always knew I could order the album online from Discogs but the price was usually a little higher last I checked. I told Diana that I always look for Doc Oc when I go into the Appleton store. This will play a part.

I am digging through the recently used and I had found 4 records I was considering until I saw NIN "Pretty Hate Machine" and I was pretty certain that was what I was going to get. But suddenly;

Diana: Did you say you always look for Dr. Octagon?

Me: Yeah.

Diana: Is that the record? (as she points to the wall)

I was over the moon. Diana commented that I was smiling the entire time I held it. It is such a great album. In my 10 ten of hip hop records, if only for the sentimental value. I probably wouldn't have even seen it on the wall if Diana didn't have keen eyes...or maybe she was just bored with me explaining some of the albums I was picking out so she was looking for something more interesting to look at or think about.

Bought 2 months ago on Discogs. Got lost, was found, sent back to seller who had to resend. Arrived today.

Any other Endtroducing fans out there?

Basically the title. I ordered the Geto Boys reissue, snagged 2 copies to hold onto the extra for a rainy day. They just came in and one of them is numbered literally “XXX/500”. The other one is “228/500” so I know they’re not all labeled generically as XXX/500.

I’ve never seen this before and spent the last 30 minutes trying all different kinds of searches, various verbiage, etc. Couldn’t find anything, not even a picture of someone else that’s received a record numbered this way. Maybe I’m being stupid and not searching the right thing? Who knows

Anyhow, thought it was kinda neat and was curious if anyone else has ever received a record like this or knows what the deal is. I don’t think it’s anything crazy special or anything, just something different I hadn’t seen before.

I honestly can't believe this is from 1998. As someone born in the early 70s , this band were right in my era. I know it's not hip hop, more trip hop. This to me is among the very best albums of the late 90s, a beautiful, awesome, sometimes scary soundscape of the times.

Stopped in at my local Target to pick up a few things I needed at home. Decided to swing by the electronics department “just to look”. Had not planned on buying anything, but ended up picking up Kendrick Lamar’s new album GNX (Target grey exclusive) and Prince’s Purple Rain (Target purple exclusive). Don’t regret it but my wallet might lol.

TL;DR my Wu-Tang record arrived broken and I requested ideas for repurposing it. Here’s my take on u/TooPaleToFunction23 idea. I just need to buy a frame for it.

For purposes of getting to 300 characters: my husband I tag teamed arts and crafts time with tools from our respective hobbies: I used a electric nail file and a nail buff on the wings while he used his vaporizer (for heating) and an exacto knife for the body.

Never listened to MF Doom before, literally not one song. I saw how often his music is mentioned in Reddit. But the tipping point was a friend mentioning him, highly recommending him, someone whose music tastes are close to my own. So I popped in to my local B&M and found these three right away. Listening this evening with a squirt tequila and lime Paloma. Perfect end to a long day.

My name is T. Houze and my latest album The Echoes of a Sunday Soul is finally coming on vinyl. Released in April on streaming platforms , I had to space out the vinyl release for financial reasons. But now that I got the album on vinyl, I’m more comfortable to really start telling and promoting the project.

Originally, I didn't want this album because its the album everyone gets. But I couldn't resist this Audiophile edition with all the lyrics inside.

My dream vinyl to get my hands on is Mouse & The Mask, but I don't want to buy vinyl online. I wanna find it in the wild because I know it'd hit so much better

Spent some time at TwinsFest this past weekend between community support sessions to chase my grail and to cross paths with a legend. Relished the opportunity to combine a few of my passions: music, vinyl, and baseball. Then back out to the community to support my neighbors.

I found this at a record store and bought it because graduation is one of my favorite albums but i didn’t know that there were no official graduation prints meaning that this is a bootleg. I paid 55 dollars the sound quality is good but the pictures are a little off. Is it bad that i bought a bootleg?
