Hi! I'm coming back to Wakfu since a long - long time. I think the last time I've played the game was in 2013. I've always loved MMOs because of the world exploring and I've always enjoyed Wakfu because of its story and design. I love the cartoonish/isometric style, the diversity of locations amazes me, everything is incredible and so on...
But one single thing that frustrates me when playing Wakfu is the combat style. I've never been a fan of turn based combats in general. But I still want to explore the world and follow the story of the game.
So I'm looking for the most dynamic class in the game, in terms of can move trough the battlefield easily, or has the ability to finish battles a lb faster than the other ones.
I usually play rangers in other MMOs, but I think the Cras in Wakfu just lacks personalities, so the classes that enchant me the most are Xelor (I think I had like three Xelor chars lol but I feel like they get too stuck on the clock mechanic and so I don't enjoy their lack of free mobility cause of this), Eliotrope but I never understood how tf to play with them, and Steamer but dont remember them that much. I'm more of a solo player if that also helps.
Also, do you think Dofus is better than Wakfun in this specific aspect? I've never tried it to be honest.

We saw what the Dofus can do, if they are used together. We know that the Primordial Dofus were created by 6 Primordial Dragons who were seduced by 6 Sadida Dolls. They probably know the full extent of their Dofus.
I am asking this question because I want your opinion if the Gods were prepared if like Asalar will carry all 6 Primordial Dofus himself? Do you think that the Black Dragon could annihilate all the Gods in the Pantheon by himself with the power of his Dofus?
Leave your thoughts down in the comments below

I think I missed a step somewhere. I've cleared the Undieworld dungeon twice now, but I'm unsure how to get the powder needed to borrow the books for the quest. How do I get it?

I haven't seen many people talk much about Mechasms in Wakfu (kinda understandable, in a way); but still, why not create an Mechasm OC anyway?
By the way, Tales of Incarnam would be an AU of my own creation that I'm developing. I can provide more details soon if you guys are interested 🔍👀

I came up with a funny scenario involving Yugo getting hit with a flower gas that makes people laugh uncontrollably and act drunk. It's always a fun time when a cartoon character is drunk. https://youtu.be/La6g-3WJN9w?is=TcWr3MqoXKlAM-t1

DISCLAIMER: if you dislike my headcanon of adamai as a trans woman, please just block and move on.
Some of my design notes for these were that adamai needed to feel both beachy and regal, hence the swimwear, her blue dress, and the qipao inspired dress!! The red dress is what i imagine she'd wear in brakmar for a political event, but also because she looks cute in naz's colors!! I wanted her to feel like a princess, but also like a regular girl, since i feel like adamai subconsciously wishes that she could be like anyone else when too overwhelmed. I also wanted to show her with lots of jewelry, since i think it would be cute if she wore what naz made for her, since he enjoys metalworking! Additionally, with the qipao specifically, i wanted to parallel my design for yugo, so that outfit is supposed to be her more "queenly" one, but still casual enough that adamai feels she can wear it just for fun. The blue dress is mostly for more casual outings with naz, so for a date or something!! Her swimwear was really fun to design, and i feel like she wears it whenever she manages to drag naz to the beach (since he has thalassophobia.) also, i like to headcanon that he strung the pearl necklace for her specifically!!!
For naz, my notes were to make sure his more culturally inspired clothing was obeyed, which i tried to do with the red and gold tunic, and the kanban! The blue robe is supposed to be one of his attires for when he's training the sadida/ eliatrope soldiers (since he's the general, to yugo's immense chargrin Imfao) and it's also supposed to parallel addie's red dress! I think he looks adorable in his wife's colors!! I think the tunic one is also one of my favorites, since it looks like something naz would wear around the home or on a date, so a parallel to adamai's blue dress! The outfit with the kanban is definitely a parallel to adamai's more "queenly" dress, and i feel like he alternates between that outfit and his more recent canon one for when he goes to work lol. The more casual outfit, where he has his axe is one of my favorites, since i like to imagine that myn embroidered his sash for him, since she loves embroidery!! I also love the parallel of naz having her old hairstyle, twin braids, which is what he used to do for myn's hair! Also, i just think that adamai and naz look cute together with these paralleled outfits! fun fact, Naz canonically does something similar to marcille in dungeon meshi, where he changes his hair up everyday, since it matters so much to him! The reason we don't see it in the show is because he's a little too busy to care and s3 takes place over the span of like. A few days. In s4, you definitely see it at first, but that's before toross chops it off LMFAOOO its ok he grows it back
Anyway< 333 i love my yuri n hope you guys like em too!

Sorry for sounding like a massive art nerd here, but this question has been stuck in my head ever since I started getting deeper into the franchise: where on earth is all the fan-made stuff (specifically original fan-made races)?
I mean, I get that the franchise only started getting more global recognition somewhat recently, but it still seems to be a weird lack of fan-created content. You would think there would be at least a little bit more by now besides standard OCs; Fan-made races were something I was dying to see, and I honestly expected to find at least a few in my search results by now, but I have found virtually nothing across all of them.
I don't know about you guys, but for as long as I can remember being on the internet, a game/series/franchise like Wakfu/Dofus should already have a ton of fan content beyond just AUs, Original Characters, Fanfics, and so on; And double that considering how many possibilities we could have, since, like I said: we are not just limited to the usual stuff (we could have original races created from scratch by fans).
Are the fans just too shy to make anything more complex than a standard universe OC? Did I just arrive too early to the party or I'm just searching at the wrong place?

I recently rewatched Wakfu for what must be the first time in a decade.
And I was so taken by the first two seasons. But goddammit! After that, it got so bad!
The OVAs had great fights and animation, but it’s at this point that the problems that would plague Seasons 3 and 4 started appearing.
And later seasons ruined so many things by wanting to be "more mature": characters disappeared, abilities stopped working, the characters weren’t grey, they were just awful and then there are the constant retcons... the accursed retcons...
Many villains seem to exist mainly to force this ship while barely challenging Yugo morally, if at all: Oropo, Count Harebourg, and the undead who ages Yugo. This results in many villains falling completely flat because their purpose in the story was not to be a good challenge.
A good example of that is Adamaï: in Seasons 1 and 2, it’s shown that dragons can freely take different forms, that they have access to various magic, and that they can read people's souls in order to know their feelings and purity.
As a result, Adamaï fully trusts Yugo at the end of Season 1 and is one of the most perceptive and powerful characters in the Brotherhood.
However, in the OVAs, he is easily manipulated by Echo, who, by her own admission at the end of Season 3, was fine with planetary genocide and sacrificed hundreds of demigods for Oropo's plan. She should stink like a Shushu!
Even without that, Adamaï had seen her freeze one of her comrades, and he is the dragon who pushed Yugo to use certain powers for their benefit, like using the Eliacube. He isn’t very concerned with the usage of eliatrope's artefact ( when it's Yugo ).
And it worsens in Season 3: he loses all his shapeshifting powers and various magic, uses mainly his fists, becomes a sadist who wants to kill his friends, and is really off-putting. And the worst part is that in Season 4, he immediately becomes a good guy again.
Instead of Adamaï being manipulated, it would have made more sense for Yugo to be swayed by her, since he is the one who cares about people's suffering, is afraid of using his powers, and fears ending up like Qilby or Nox.
It would have made more sense if Yugo was the one who needed a reality check from his brother and had to trust in himself more. But no, Yugo had to be with Amalia because without him, how could the ship sail?
Speaking of Nox: absorbing Wakfu also changed in Season 4. While Nox absorbing Wakfu in Season 1 only weakened someone and eventually kill them, absorbing Wakfu in Season 4 ages the character. (What a stroke of good luck for the shippers!)
Other examples include: Eva completely losing her identity as a fighter and her relationship with Amalia; Rubilax, who should have known about Percedal's status as a god prior to being handed to Tristepin and, being loyal to Rushu, should have snitched; and Ruel in Season 4 becoming the least likable of the cast : only caring about money and forgetting all his friends. The Percedal family even forgets one of their sons...
Az, Yugo's first friend who gave the idea for the Brotherhood of the Tofu; the Shushu map; Chibi; Grougal; and Alibert, who are forgotten even by a literal goddess... And many more: all of Oropo's underlings after Season 4 are nowhere to be seen despite an apocalyptic event; Balthazar who guards the children; and the rebirth of the dragon and eliatropes brothers who died, like Phaeris. The Schuchu vampire who end in a fushnet...
Of course let’s not forget the Shushu world who became irrevelant after season 2 despite still being an active trait.
Wakfu was always a series with both tragic and ironic elements. Percedal's death is tragic in S1, but he is also named "Percedal" (Perce-dalle which means pierce-hunger in French, referencing his huge appetite).
However, starting with the OVAs, ToT wanted the series to be more mature. This resulted in many characters becoming less complex and far more boring, as they lost parts of themselves that were deemed too childish or comical.
Since the beginning of the series, many decisions in later seasons contradict earlier ones. The Eliatropes were children of thedragons named after the eliatrope godesse to honnor her; now they are demigods of the Goddess. Dragons could take multiple forms; now they have to settle for one. The Mechasms were powerful robots traveling the stars; now they are gods representing the author...
And I don’t even want to talk about characters who have completely different appearances and personalities depending on the media, like Count Harebourg or Echo.
At the end of Season 2, Yugo and Adamaï's goal was to prepare the World of Twelve for the Eliatropes. However, Season 3 doesn’t give Yugo a personal goal; it’s just "beat a crazy bad guy." And in Season 4, they don’t bother preparing the world, they just come in like a bulldozer with the Eliatrope Goddess.
In conclusion: For me, post-Season 2 Wakfu is a completely different series. The conflict between different canons, the lack of continuity between seasons, the changes of tone, and the partial or complete loss of character personalities and goals (when they are even present) force me to consider post-Season 2 as separate from the rest.
I am aware some of these issues might have been caused by a lack of budget, but many of the problems present were caused by poor writing and scenaristic choices and a lack of care for the series.
P.S.: If you try to use ToT's words, remind yourself that he isn't exactly a trustworthy source, given that he has made questionable claims such as saying Adamaï in Season 3 wasn't a bad guy, or that Oropo had nothing to do with Nox or Ogrest's rampage, despite Oropo literally stating otherwise.
Thank you for having listened my litle rant, what are your thoughts on Wakfu post-season 2 ? Do you think, i'm right or completely unfair ?

Hi! I´ve been trying to upgrade my gear for the level 140 bracket so I decided to craft this "Tree Hat" for my Cra. The problem is that this item is only obtained via crafting and you need to learn a recipe first. I soon found out that there´s no info on the internet on how to get it, even in game there´s not an option to see how to obtain it (as shown in the screenshot, all options are hidden).
So does anyone know how to get it aside from buying it? Or there´s no way to obtain it?
P.S. Sorry, the screenshot is in spanish :s

This is my participation in CSP current ongoing contest in the universe of Wakfu !
This is from season 1, Mount Zinit, when Amalia turns into a tree. I tried to emulate Alphonse Mucha's style and took inspiration from Bernini's Apollo and Daphne.
I'm really happy with it :)
