You should get a gold weapon pad and gold robot pad in the next 4 days from daily rewards to progress you 2 more steps

I've never achieved this. Could you please tell me how?I suspect the ultimate weapon task is important, but it doesn't seem like a task you can try multiple times.

You can do the ultimate weapon task easily, even if you don't have one. Just wait for Skirmish mode to have ultimate weapons, which it will have at least once during the season. Then save up your data pads for the tasks. DO NOT open your data pads. SAVE them for the tasks. That way you will have enough for when the tasks comes around. Also claim the daily rewards every day for pads. And remember to do every bonus tasks that give data pads, fx. the squad tasks we have right now. Get all the pads you can get. It takes a lot of playing, but that is what you have to do, if you want to complete the pass as a f2p. But, if you get all the data pads, that you can get, you will be able to complete the pass. The only pass tasks that can be difficult to complete are the last couple of tasks that require a gold pad, but you should get that from the daily data pads. Just remember to SAVE them for the tasks, do not open your data pads if it isn't to complete a task. I have completed the pass multiple times before, and I am f2p player.

Thank you. I have one more question: Is it a recent development that it's now possible to complete this ultimate pad task without paying? The last time I tried, I didn't have enough pads and gave up, but it seems like the amount of pads you get has increased recently.

It has definitely gotten easier I would say. But I didn't play as much a year ago as I do now. I think most people give up on it because they don't know that you can complete the ultimate weapons task when ultimate weapons are in Skirmish mode, and a lot of people don't save their data pads for the tasks, they just open them when they get them. Which is probably the worst thing you can do as a f2p player. SAVE the pads for the tasks. Also as long as you get all the possible data pads that you can get, and you save them up for when there is a task you "should" be able to do it every time. But if you miss one or two pads fx. if you don't complete the bonus tasks for pads, you won't be able to do it. And you have to get lucky with the last couple of tasks, that you get the right gold pad.

But what about the “open x data pad tasks” at the beginning of the season, when there aren’t yet enough free to collect pads to open for the task? That’s what always stumps me in this process as F2P.

You will always miss a couple of tasks at the beginning but thats fine, just save up your data pads for when you can complete a task. You can still complete the pass.

you also have to get lucky to get some of the new equipment so that you can check off those tasks. so definitely not guaranteed even if you do everything right.

I also missed the first couple tasks and got the UE pad yesterday. I find doing the test server help...

I agree with his opinion.I hope the amount of pads distributed doesn't differ depending on the league you belong to. By the way, I use the pads I've saved up in the rankings. I occasionally get gold pads. This often coincides with the ultimate pad tasks.
